Hello all,

I have been trying to change the Customer IDs of the imported customer Records, but haven’t been able to. The Segmented Key has the Auto numbering uncheck.

Upon saving it throws the following error

and then creates a new blank customer record. Why is it not allowing me to do so?

@Harry Do you have any customizations implemented for the Customers screen?

Additionally, have you tried to un-publish the customizations and verified the same?

Please review @Naveen Boga suggestions and also verify if this ID has been used any where in the system like vendors.

Try to unpublish the cusotmization and verify the change ID.

Also follow below suggestions

This is a very common error for Acumatica.

Usually this happens for a few reasons:

  1. another user is trying to change something on that record.
  2. That record is open on another /Mutliple tab.
  3. A user tried to do the same action twice.

Try to clear your cache and close all tabs and update the record again.

I already checked this, I am able to change the IDs in the Sandbox environment but not in the production.

Hi @Harry were you able to find a solution? Thank you!

Hello Harry,

Customers and vendors share the same number series in Acumatica. Is it possible the number you tried to assign to your customer, 2960, already existed in the Vendor List?

Is it possible the Customer ID 2960 was used before as a Customer and then deleted?

Laura
