Is there any way to reference a credit memo in a quote?

We are offering a “credit” for a trade in stock item and want to be able to show that credit on the quote.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Stacy,

We have done this in the past by using a separate non-stock line item for the credit with a negative unit price. This will deduct the credit item amount from the quote total.

Hi @meagan59 !

The problem with that is it throws off our Misc. total that we are showing on the quote :(

We dont want it to show that way on the form to the customer :/

Could you add the discount as an actual discount code on the same line as the item? This would deduct the discount amount from the Line Total above.

Hi @stacy16 - were you able to find a solution? Thank you!

Hi @Chris Hackett

Not really.. I just ended up removing some of the totals that the customer sees from the form.. i still do not have a good solution yet :/
