System Monitor - Active Users list shows many duplicates
The Active Users list in the System Monitor shows individual users multiple times. Is this something we need to be concerned about and is it consuming resources? (In our prior ERP seeing the same user multiple times meant they hadn’t logged out properly or a session hung.) It’s especially strange that the “admin” user appears multiple times with high “Time from Last Activity” values as no-one uses that login.
Do we need to take action on this or is it normal? Thanks!

We recently upgraded from 2020 R1 to 2021 R1 which cleared and reset the active users list. Since that, the list no longer shows multiple logins from the same user so it may have been the system version we were using. Thanks for all the replies and suggestions.
Hi @alicezyks51
Are using any APIs for connections from external systems?
we have seen this issue when having an integration with an external system where the logout was not being attributed to the login Session ID. So when that issue was addressed, from that point onwards we are not seeing it.
But if these are not due to external calls but still happening, may be it would be better to have a support case registered.
Hi @alicezyks51 This is very common behavior. When user logged in multiple times and sign out, it will show multiple records with “Time from Last Activity” and “Time From Last Login” with the details.
To answer your question → We NO need to be concerned about this showing duplicate records.
Hi @alicezyks51During off hours, here are some maintenance activities that an Administrator can perform. Please note, the restart action will logout the users and will not save any Unsaved activities. Hence it is recommended to perform this activity during off hours.
Note: This is a critical screen where you need to be more cautious on hovering the mouse and clicking the actions. Please use only the actions highlighted.
Thanks
Hi @alicezyks51 Also, are you using multiple interfaces to login? The User logs shows the records from login from different places like Acumatica ERP Sign-In page, or through the mobile application, or through single sign-on page provided that SSO with Google or Microsoft Account.
Thanks
Hi @alicezyks51 the longer “Time from Last Activity” indicates that the sessions are NOT active for a long time. Hence those user log entries does not affect the resources.
Thanks
Hi @alicezyks51 From the screenshot above, the “Time from Last Activity” is the time difference calculated from the date of last activity and today. Hence you are seeing them with more no. of days.
