I am trying to set up a tax calculation for Washington B&O tax which is a gross receipts tax paid by the company and not the customer based on the products sold.  I am unable to find any examples of setting this type of tax calculation.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

We collect on behalf of the customer a tax based on element of the products we sell.  We used Item Attributes to capture the amount the tax is based on.  This worked for us.
