When multiple approvers are assigned to one step and any of the approvers can fully approve that step, then one of the approvers approves that step, the other approvers are typically unaware this has happened. If they also try to approve the same step, they receive a fairly cryptic message about being “not authorized”. It would be much better if the message returned told them the workflow step had already been approved. As is, it leads them to believe there is a permissions issue or some type of error happening.

Has anyone found a good workaround for this? Obviously over time we can train the approvers to recognize the cryptic message and understand why they are getting it, but it would be better if the message was more clear/informative.

Any other thoughts on this?

Could you please clarify this statement, “When multiple approvers are assigned to one step and any of the approvers can fully approve that step”.

It’s better if you can provide steps and screenshots to explain the current behavior.

As per my knowledge,

There is no way to assign multiple approvers to a "STEP.” Of course, you can have multiple “rules” within a step.
In that case, you can assign multiple approvers using WORKGROUP.

But if you use this option, when one user (from the workgroup) approves the document, it will disappear from the approval screen of other workgroup members. So they cannot approve that particular document again.

Again, it is better if you can provide an example so we can look for the solutions.

You can have multiple approvers in a step as seen below.  This will produce a list of employees that is NOT the creator.  The issue I am having is finding a way to get the document approved if only one of the approvers approves the document.  Acumatica goes to great pains to let you know how it can’t be done but nothing on how it can be done.  Surely there is a way, is there not?
