Journal entry for conversion CAD to USD

I try to create a journal entry for conversion of some money in CAD into USD. The journal currency is in CAD. When I pick the USD account as in CAD equivalent, a error message said “ Denominated GL account currency is different from transaction currency”. Please advise how I can resolve the issue. Thank you.

Hello,

Please try transferring from the CAD account into the USD account using Banking → Transfers screen.
