Hi @MarkD

In standard Acumatica, Fixed Asset Reconciliation transactions cannot typically be reversed directly from the Fixed Asset screen. These transactions are system-generated as part of the asset processing and reconciliation process.

If the reconciliation was created in error, the recommended approach is to review the source asset transaction, asset configuration, and the related GL batch. Depending on the situation, you may need to reverse the GL batch, adjust the asset, or reprocess the asset transaction. Care should be taken because reversing the GL batch alone may create discrepancies between the Fixed Assets and General Ledger modules.

If the asset was created incorrectly and no depreciation has been posted yet, you may be able to reverse the asset and then recreate it correctly. This is generally a cleaner approach than trying to reverse the reconciliation transaction itself.

Could you provide more details about why the Reconciliation transaction needs to be reversed and which Acumatica version you are using? That would help determine the safest correction method.

Best Regards,

NNT

I accidently added the 5 software warranty to one asset instead of splitting it over the 5 assets that’s why I want to reverse that. What’s the correct way of reversing it?

Hi @MarkD

If the fixed asset is newly created and hasn't been depreciated yet, the best way is to reverse the process and then create a new fixed asset. After reversing, the system will reverse the transactions previously made to this fixed asset.

The steps for reversing are shown in the image below.

Hi @nhatnghetinh - I don’t think there is yet, but please confirm it is safe to reverse based on screenshots below. I don’t come across fixed assets that much, so thanks for confirming.

Hi @MarkD

Handling fixed asset situations is slightly more complex than other modules. You should have an Acumatica trial mode version to test these kinds of scenarios beforehand.
