Is there a way to add a shipping fee per item? So any time a particular item is added to a sales order, a shipping fee will be added based on that item.

Ideally it would be a setting tied to weight - Any item above a certain weight will get a shipping fee added to the order automatically.

Currently it seems only possible to add a fee per amount or weight of the entire shipment, rather than item specific.

HI @Ellie

There is currently not that functionality. You would need a customization for that.

You could add it for a future idea to be added to Acumatica.

You can add it as a free item add on that would automatically be added to the item. Set up a non stock item called shipping and map  the GL accounts to go to the shipping account.

That would work to add the line time, but if the non-stock item is free, would that add the charge at all?

You can set a price for it.

A price is set already, but the concept of adding a “free item” is that it marks it as a free item even if the item has a default price. I tried the suggestion, but all it does is add the stock item for free.

Would you mind sharing a screenshot of your working setup?

Hi @Ellie  were you able to find a solution? Thank you!
