Identify inefficiencies in drop ship EDI integration ?

Acumatica - > EDI partner → drop ship vendor → customer

We have a drop ship edi integration done and i need to evaluate the inefficiencies in the current integration ? one area is to identify current manual task from the process map and try to automate them. Any other suggestions on how I can approach this ?
