When using the pick/pack/ship functions, the quantity on the scanner always defaults to 1 and the user has to manually push the button to change the quantity on the line to the actual picked quantity. This can become a very tedious when there are pages of shipping lines to be picked.
There should be a setting in the Sales Order Preferences->Warehouse Management tab that allows the pick screen to default to the quantity on the shipment line.
The purchase receipt screen has a similar option to set the default the receipt quantity to zero or to the PO order qty.

Hi Donna,
Have you investigated the Weight Item setting in Stock Item. Some customers have been setting this to true for stocked items (even if it’s not weighted) to accomplish what you’re describing.
Hi @kandybeatty49 , that is not the functionality that we are looking for. That check box tells the system to use the quantity that’s entered on the first line of the pick list, for all lines on the pick list.
Thanks!
I would suggest creating an idea for Acumatica to add it to the program.

HI @donnadeskins55
On the Warehouse Management tab of Sales Order Preferences, there is a Use Default Quantity option:
Use Default Quantity
A check box that defines to which document lines the system uses the quantity manually specified by a user who has invoked the
Set Qty. action on the form toolbar of the Pick, Pack, and Ship form (or entered the *qty command in the Scan box of this form). If the check box is selected, the system specifies the quantity entered by the user by default for all lines in a currently processed document. If the check box is cleared, the quantity entered by the user is specified in the currently processed line only.
