We have a customer that is acquiring several new entities.  What is the advantage of adding them as a company versus a branch in Acumatica?  Are there any problematic implementation issues with one or the other?

If those new entities would be considered as belonging to an existing company, then normally you would configure them as a branch.  If they are siblings to your existing company, then they normally would be configured as additional companies.
