We are implementing Acumatica. We have about 100 machines grouped into 5 work centers. A typical production order is about 300 pieces and typically runs 2-4 days. The issue we are having it that as we test scheduling it is spreading the work from one production order to all 25 machines in the work center.

It is there a way to keep a single production order confined to a single machine without turning the all 100 machines into individual workcenters?

@chese79

Currently APS assumes all machines will be used and there is no way to have a single machine scheduled if all 25 machines are specified on the work center.

Here is a related community ideas that may be of interest:

I would suggest adding your use case and desired outcome to the idea so that if/when this idea is delivered that your use case was accurately considered.

Would you want to specify how many machines to schedule at the operation? Use 3 of 25 machines for example or just use one machine that is avaialble?

Regarding your immediate need, I would recommend exploring Acumatica’s market place for scheduling.

Hope this information helps!
