I’m looking for some input from those that use the Pace-Jet integration.  Does the Pace-Jet integration have an Acumatica solution for FedEx’s PRIORITY ALERT service?

Pacejet is a widely used shipping solution integrated with Acumatica, and it supports a variety of carriers, including FedEx. However, FedEx Priority Alert is a specialized service, designed primarily for shipments that require extra attention or are time-sensitive, such as in the healthcare or electronics industries.

Based on current capabilities, it’s important to clarify a few things:😀

FedEx Priority Alert Service in Pacejet:

  • FedEx Priority Alert offers benefits such as proactive monitoring, notifications, and personalized support for critical shipments.
  • While Pacejet supports a wide range of FedEx services, including Priority Overnight, 2-Day, Standard, and International services, Priority Alert is a specialized service that may require additional carrier setup and integration beyond the standard FedEx API capabilities.

How to Verify if Pacejet Supports FedEx Priority Alert:

  1. Check Pacejet Documentation:

    • Review the Pacejet documentation for FedEx service levels and specific carrier options available. FedEx Priority Alert may not be listed as a standard option, but it could be supported through customization or special configuration.
  2. Carrier Service Setup in Pacejet:

    • If Priority Alert is not listed as a default option in Pacejet, you may need to work with FedEx and Pacejet support to ensure this service is activated. Sometimes, specialized services require enabling at the carrier level first.
  3. Customizations:

    • If Pacejet doesn’t natively support Priority Alert out-of-the-box, it might be possible to customize the shipping rules or workflows to meet Priority Alert requirements. This could involve setting specific shipment priorities, adding tags or markers to critical shipments, or manually coordinating with FedEx through a business event.
  4. FedEx API Integration:

    • Since Pacejet uses carrier APIs to communicate with FedEx, another option is to ensure that the FedEx API settings in your Pacejet integration are correctly configured to include Priority Alert as an available service. Sometimes, specialized services need to be enabled via API keys or account settings with FedEx directly.

Next Steps:

  • Contact Pacejet Support: The fastest way to determine if Pacejet supports FedEx Priority Alert natively would be to reach out to Pacejet’s support team or check their knowledge base. They can provide specific guidance on how to configure and enable the service.

  • Consult Acumatica Partner: If you’re working with an Acumatica partner for your Pacejet integration, they may also have insights on whether this service has been enabled for other customers or if any customizations were required.

Conclusion:

While Pacejet supports a broad range of FedEx services, FedEx Priority Alert is a more specialized service that may require additional configuration. I recommend contacting Pacejet’s support team or FedEx directly to verify whether the service is available and how to configure it within Acumatica and Pacejet. If customizations are needed, you might also need support from your Acumatica partner.
