° in HTML format not retained

Hi all,

I have a client who uses the degree symbol (°) in the long description field of their inventory items, which is then exposed via the API to their website. When this data is converted to HTML, the degree symbol remains as ° rather than being encoded in HTML format (e.g., ° or °). Consequently, the website does not recognise it correctly.

Please see below;

HTML

I would prefer not to go down the customisation path if possible and wondering if there is any workaround for this. The challenge with a customisation is that there might be other special characters we haven't identified yet, and continuously updating the customisation to handle each one isn't ideal.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thank you.

@dwan  Acumatica's Rich Text Editor (RTE) might not convert special characters like ° into their corresponding HTML entities (°) due to its specific implementation or limitations.
