We use Parent/Child Account relationships extensively for our Customer base. We also use a ton of Customer part numbers as Alternate IDs for our stock items. This is becoming very difficult to manage when we have some parents with 100 child companies. Is there a way to set an alternate ID of a part number for a Parent account, and have it be used for its child accounts? We can’t use Global in this scenario because we need to be able to use the alternate IDs on customer facing paperwork as well.
We’re on 2019R1 and the Production Order Maintenance screen in the Modern UI takes SEVERAL minutes to filter the list if you use the filter field in the upper right corner of the grid. We’re currently in the process of upgrading to 2020R2, and it is STILL not usable. I figured Acumatica would have cleaned them up to be on par with the rest of their screens given they own it now and have had plenty of time to do so. Is this something that is a known issue, are plans in place to fix it? We have zero issues with this functionality throughout the rest of Acumatica.
We are working through some inventory storage improvements in our warehouse and we noticed an issue with the way Acumatica allocates inventory for shipments. We are a FIFO company that distributes a product with a limited shelf life. It is very important that we truly ship the oldest product first, based on receipt date. We recently moved many of our SKUs to different locations and now the older lots are being allocated after lots that are newer. From what I can see, Acumatica somehow is treating transfers as receipts and resetting the FIFO date of any lots we move. This is obviously a huge problem for stock with a limited shelf life. We need Acumatica to ALWAYS base allocations on the receipt date for the product lots. Is there something that we don’t have set correctly, or is this behavior by design?
