I am importing Change Request data from another system into Acumatica. This particular data was given a status of “Void” in the other system.I noticed that Acumatica supports a status of “Rejected”. I am looking for an interactive way to assign the “Rejected” status to a selection of Change Request records(hopefully without having to create a Change Order).Thank you for reading this.-Ken Severud
Hello, I am new to Acumatica.I am building an import Scenario for the “Employee Time Activities” screen. The data is coming-in via a .CSV file (provided by an external source). The Project number is coming-in from the .CSV file non-segmented.The Project number segmented in Acumatica. (xx-xx-xxxxx). I have tried this two ways (in the .CSV file):Project number as segmented. Result: Field: Project, Value: SP-21-095, Error: 'Year' of 'Project' does not exist in the system. Project number as non-segmented. Result: error: Nullable object must have a valueWhen manually entering an Employee Time Activity record, I notice that Acumatica inserts default values the following columns: Hold, Status, Data, Time, Earning Type,Time Spent, Billable, Billable Time, and then copies values from the previous record columns: Project, Project Task, and Description. It was suggested to me that bringing in the Project number as non-segmented was preferred. Has anyone encountered the two errors (above) before? How d
Hello,There are two areas that I have questions about:1) My existing code logic locates my two action menu items "CREATE CUSTOMER TEST" and "CREATEVENDOR TEST" in the "Other" section of the "dot dot dot" menu (below). How can I relocate those menu items to the "Record Creation" section?2) The same code that adds the action menu items to the "dot dot dot" menu also adds the two menu items to the main toolbar menu.Is there a was to hide the menu items so that they are not visible on the main toolbar menu but still visible in the "dot dot dot" menu?Thank you in advance.Ken Severud My code behind:
Acumatica version: 22R1 Build 22.107.0022 I am using a no-code approach to adding an action menu items. On the Contacts screen, I have created two new action menu items:Create Customer Create Vendor Here are the settings I am using for "Create Customer" (The settings for "Create Vendor" are similar). I have the same challenge for both action menu items.I need to return the "Business Account" ID/Name to the "Business Account" field on the "Contacts" screen (when the dialog closes).I have tried using a few different field combinations on the “FIELD UPDATE”but have not had any success. Maybe I am misunderstanding how some of these settings are interpreted by Acumatica. Can you tell me what I am missing or point me in the right direction?Thank you in advance. :)Ken Severud
I need to add two new status values of "Billed" and “Expired” to the Service Contracts screen.1) Is the list of Service order status values exposed as a preference in Acumatica?2)Can new status values be added through a customization?3) Would the addition of new status values impact related Service order business rules? Thank you in advance.Ken Severud
I have a request from a client to delete all “Canceled” Service ContractsI tried adding a delete button to the Service Contracts GI.This resulted with: Error: The record cannot be deleted. Different approach: I tested using a SQL DELETE in my local Acumatica instance database.to bulk delete all existing Service Contracts that have a status of “Canceled” DELETE FROM [FSServiceContract] WHERE Status = 'X'This appears to have deleted all the Service Contracts that have a Status of “Canceled”, which is what the customer wants. Note: This SQL approach does bypass business rules in this module. Question: Is there a better (preferred) approach to deleting Service Contracts that have a Status of “Canceled”?My customer requests:Bulk delete all of the Service Contracts that have a status of “Canceled”. Give them the ability to delete Service Contracts that have a status of “Canceled” on their own.Thank you in advance.Ken Severud
Hello, I am working with the Customer Locations AR303020 screen.Note: I added a “pencil” button to the right of the Location field on the Sales Orders screen to launch the Customer Locations AR303020 screen as a popup..My Experience level:Less than one year. Issue:The Location Selector does not execute a LocationID_FieldUpdated or a LocationCD_FieldUpdated event (tried both, I only need one of them to work for what I am doing). When I change the Location Selector value in Debug at runtime, my breakpoint (in red below) is not respected and the code is skipped.Sample code: protected void Location_LocationID_FieldUpdated(PXCache cache, PXFieldUpdatedEventArgs e, PXFieldUpdated InvokeBaseHandler) { if (InvokeBaseHandler != null) InvokeBaseHandler(cache, e); var row = (Location)e.Row; row.OverrideAddress = true; // This code is expected to be executed when the
Background: In the project that I am currently working on, A hard-coded Change Date of 12/31/2021 was chosen to be used for all the Change Requests coming over from a legacy Sage system. The Change requests have been imported and I have generated the Change Orders. The freshly generated Change Orders will use the Change Dates and Approval Dates from the Client’s legacy Sage System. All of the dates coming in from Sage, are all prior to 12/31/2021. Question: From a functional standpoint, would having a Change Order (Change Date or Approval Date) that is prior to the Change Request (Change Date), cause any issues when the client processes their billing? Thank you for reading this.-Ken Severud
