When will Acumatica enable creating approval maps for service orders and appointments?
Some online services like Facebook and Amazon give users a choice, when clicking on their URLs contained within emails, of navigating to the pages in a browser or choosing to view them in their mobile app. Is there a way to accomplish this with Acumatica? We've configured notifications containing URLs providing quick and easy access to forms in Acumatica. For example, an email notifying someone that a subcontract awaits their approval contains a link to the subcontract in Acumatica. We would prefer, when a user clicks on such a link in an email on their mobile device, to be given the option to open it in the Acumatica app instead of the browser.
Notification templates only allow you to enter a specific user, email address or placeholder for an email address in any of the recipient fields (To, Cc and Bcc). Has anyone identified another way to accomplish this?Email notification to all members of workgroup to which entity is assigned identifies a similar need, but it applies to entities assigned to workgroups. In my case, I want to send the emails to members of a workgroup of my choosing, even one not assigned to the entity. For example, on creation of a new vendor, I want to send a notification to everyone in an AP workgroup.
Does anyone know how to accomplish this?A pivot table counts the values as stored in the database (multiple values concatenated, separated by commas), I want to count them individually. In this example, the counts should be as follows:Value 1 = 3Value 2 = 2Value 3 = 3
Use case: laborers in a manufacturing plant punch in and out for the day using a timeclock. They typically have two sets of punches per day, one before and one after lunch. They work on multiple project tasks throughout the day, recording how much time they spent on each task on a sheet of paper. Through an integration, the punches are entered into Acumatica as time activities. Afterwards, an administrative person needs to allocate the time to projects based on the sheets of paper handed in by the laborers.Has anyone encountered and implemented a solution for this use case?
If a user is required to approve a document via an approval map, is there a way he or she can reassign it to another user? The only obvious options are Approve and Reject.
Anyone using these services in Construction Edition and able to share your experience?
The employees available to select as subcontract owners are only the logged-on employee plus the employees who are members of the workgroups to which the logged-on employee belongs. Does anyone know why the list is filtered this way, instead of listing all employees like other owner lists?
The new Project Address fields implemented in 2020 R2 to replace the single Project Site field is definitely an improvement. But I wonder why it isn't configured as a selector whereby the user can select from the customer's locations, like the Default Location. Have others encountered this? How are you handling it if so?
A client implementing Acumatica Construction Edition uses Procore and will implement the Acumatica/Procore integration. They’re also implementing Acumatica CRM. They sometimes encounter opportunities that originate from their clients’ Procore and wonder if there’s a way to connect the two. The details for such a connection have not yet been defined, I’m not yet able to articulate the integration requirements. But wondering if others have encountered this scenario.
A client implementing Acumatica Construction Edition is awarded contracts involving multiple similar projects which they manage collectively as a program. For example, a national retailer may award them a contract to perform the same work at multiple stores (sites) across the country. This is conceptually similar to projects and subprojects. Have others encountered similar use cases? How have you implemented them?Implementing the program as an Acumatica construction project isn’t ideal because each site has its own project address, project manager, subcontractors, schedule, etc. On the other hand, Acumatica appears to not have a way out-of-the-box to group projects into a program.
