Hello all,Just curious how we could find the generic inquiry behind any screen. For example, the 'Account Summary' Screen: ScreenId=GL401000.I ask, because the mission is to create a dashboard tile showing the ending balance for a certain GL Account where the record period = the current period.I’d like to understand where I can copy/edit/manipulate the data I see on the Account Summary screen. I tried:Navigating to the screen Customization button (looking for ‘Edit Generic Inquiry’)But ‘Edit Generic Inquiry’ is not an option. What is an efficient way to get the info in the grid below, assuming I can create the parameters for Ledger & Period?Thank you for any input.
Hello all,Looking for some OData insight here. The goal: pull a Generic Inquiry through to Power BI.I have the XML page working great with the "Odata" test URL following the naming convention: http://<application site domain>/odata/<company name>I assumed that was the “test” that would ensure that I’d be able to connect to an OData endpoint within an Acumatica instance. However, when I attempt to "Get Data" through Power BI and load in the URL with basic authentication, I have tantalizing visibility to the Inquiries, including the one I want to use, but I'm unable to get past the authentication step in order to finish loading data from the data source.Perplexingly I can't seem to use my regular credentials using Basic authentication, at any level. Here’s the XML. This loads after prompting for Acumatica credentials. However, when I use the same URL and enter the same credentials into “Basic” authentication I’m getting the credentials error: From looking online, I’m curious
Greetings all,I’m trying to mass update the value of a Business Account attribute, ideally through a Generic Inquiry. I’ve got the inquiry written, and it joins multiple tables including Contact (the ‘parent’ table) and Business Account. (I want to update the Business Account attribute values based on values at the Contact level.)But when I search the ‘Mas Update’ field list, I’m only seeing fields from the Contact table.Must I write a new inquiry with Business Account as the ‘parent’ table in order to see Business Account attribute fields show up in the ‘mass update’ area?I’m confused, because since my Inquiry returns Business Account attributes I assumed I’d be able to update them.Props to Sergey Marenich for writing this article https://asiablog.acumatica.com/2016/09/mass-processing-using-gi.html
The mission with this generic inquiry is to show the payment amount value with the decimal stripped out. I’ve tried a few formulas but Acumatica seems to want to add 2 trailing 0s when I do that. Example: The goal is, instead of showing $8321.05, to show: 832105In SQL I’d want to return a substring, or trim 2 characters from the right side of the string. Here are a few examples of what I’ve tried: Try to get the field to display as a schema field ‘payment amount’ Try to get the field to display as schema field ‘doc description’ Try to return from the right side of the string, -2 positions: =Right(CStr( Replace( [APPayment.CuryOrigDocAmt], '.' , '' ) ), -2) Try to cast the field as a decimal =Replace( CDec([APPayment.CuryOrigDocAmt]), '.' , '' ) Try to cast the field as a string =Replace( CStr([APPayment.CuryOrigDocAmt]), '.' , '' ) Any suggestions on this? Acumatica really seems to want to add those zeroes!
Hello all,I’ve been following the help guides but am getting errors when I try to schedule an ARM report by email.Looks like when I go to check the status, the execution result is “The report with name Key Financial Numbers is not found” as you can see here: I’m not sure where to more clearly define the report name as the Screen ID is defined in a condition of the Automation Schedule:I initially created this by:navigating to the report itself; defining the parameters & the Print & Email settings; saving those as a report template; and then choosing “schedule template.”As far as I can tell, that is by the book. What am I missing in my configuration? This doesn’t seem to be common so I assume I’ve missed a data element.Thank you all for the ideas!Arline
Hello all,Curious to hear experiences from the community on Salesforce integration. We’ve deployed the existing integration described in the Acumatica help files. What advantages/disadvantages have people seen who have chosen to deploy with a third-party integrator vs the integration that ships with the product? Just curious what people’s experiences have been.
Hello all,Curious about options here. Instead of using Outlook for mail, some people use the apple Mail app on their Macs.If they’re not interested in migrating to Outlook to use the Acumatica Outlook Add-in, what are their options? (On 3/10/21 I didn’t come across any options in the marketplace.)Could I drag/drop an email from Mac mail into Acumatica to log activity, for example? I don’t expect that to create a contact but perhaps there’s some level of compatibility we can help them achieve.Thank you for any ideas.Arline
