@xkylewrightx same issue for me.How was this PDF file originally attached to Acumatica? Did you receive it by e-mail, or was it scanned using Acumatica DeviceHub? Are you sure the original file can be viewed properly?I opened the .pdf file in a text editor to look at the metadata, and it shows it was created using Visioneer OneTouch 4.6 I doubt it has anything to do with Acumatica, looks like a bug or limitation in Preview on OS X. Others have raised the issue before: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7736444 https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7352567
@rosenjon we have faced similar issues with tenants that have special characters as well in other integrations we have built at Velixo. Some of those issues have been fixed already, but I would suggest opening a support ticket on portal.acumatica.com to ensure this gets routed to the proper team -- no guarantee someone from the integrations team will see this here.
The information on quantity already allocated for a line can be found in SOLineSplit - IsAllocated is set to TRUE (1).If you want to get information for a given item, irrespective of the sales order, you would find that in INSiteStatus. QtySOShipping shows the total allocated for an item (whether it’s coming from an unconfirmed shipment or a sales order line that was set to Allocated=1)
Even if i download the file on a windows computer and email it to a mac, it still cannot be viewed Ahhh! This is an important piece of info. I remember filing a similar bug report to Acumatica many years ago. In some cases the PDF files generated by Acumatica could not be rended on the Mac OS Preview app. They would still open fine under Adobe Reader or the Chrome built-in PDF Viewer. I haven’t ran into this in years, but there might be something very specific with the PDF trying to export. This affected PDF files generated from the Acumatica Reporting engine -- not files that you received from a 3rd party and attached, however.Do you have such a PDF file that you tried to e-mail that you could share with us here?
The Acumatica Report Designer allows you to link to any table and then show the pictures attached to a row. When you attach pictures to a rom in your BOM, the pictures are ultimately stored in the UploadFileRevision.BlobData field. You can link to this table by joining the relevant AMBom**** table with NoteDoc (ex: AMBomStep.NoteID=NoteDoc.NoteID) and then with UploadFileRevision on the FileID field. You can technically have multiple images per item so you'll either need to filter by file name (ex: image should always be called "PartDiagram.png") or use a subreport that will print out all the images. The Picture box control can be bound to a database field (Source=Database, Value=select the UploadFileRevision.BlobData field). The VisibleExpr property can be used to control whether or not the picture box shows. More information on the picture box can be found here.
I have been using Acumatica on Mac OS for years, and never ran into this issue. What browser are you using? On my end Safari/Chrome/Edge all work OK.The .ashx extension you see in your browser bar is not related to the extension of the file you’re trying to open -- the browser relies on the MIME type (application/pdf) to decide how to process the file, and doesn’t look at the URL at all. Here’s a test I just ran:
I don’t think there’s any way to set this elsewhere than the carrier configuration. One thing you could do is to setup two carriers -- one with and the other without signature, and associate the carrier with a distinct Ship Via Code. This would give you the ability to make a decision at the time you create the sales order or shipment.
@uehrenfeld the report designer only works with credentials that you enter as a username/password on the Acumatica sign-in page.If you are clicking the “Active Directory” button to login, those credentials will not let you into the report designer.
I’ve been receiving private messages and e-mails about this since mentioning that I had built something similar in the past, so I decided to create a new, simplified example that works from the Acumatica demo database. Here it is for the community:The main invoice form and the subreport can be found at this link: https://velixo-my.sharepoint.com/:f:/p/gabriel/Eq3FeY6NXUlOqw3jbqDGZ70B1EizeTcGu7nqpka0tDd3oA?e=wEEdWm
@purwandaruw47 thanks for tagging me in the post. It is definitely something that we can handle with Velixo. @dcarman90 are all the entities you’re looking to consolidate using Acumatica? Here’s how we did it in the past with a client using Velixo:Setup one connection per entity Define how accounts/subaccounts should be consolidated (this can be skipped if all entities share a common chart of accounts) In your report, define the % of ownership of each entity In the income statement and balance sheet, report the income, expenses, assets and liabilities as desiredSince Velixo gives you full control on the formulas at the cell level, it becomes very easy to add together data from many entities, each with different percentages and report them at a consolidated level. While not specific to Velixo, this article explains how non-controlling interests should be handled in consolidations: Non-Controlling Interest in Consolidations - eCapital AdvisorsI’ll be happy to discuss this in greater detai
For those stumbling on this post and struggling to get the Recalculate action to work from an import scenarios, I’d like to provide an update that might help users trying to achieve this. Another community member reached out to me asking for help, and I spent some time trying to understand what’s going on - it looks like the “Recalculate Prices” action triggers an Object Reference Not Set exception in current versions when you try to call it from an import scenario.I didn’t get the opportunity to trace the code to see why it’s failing, but I noticed that there’s another action that you can use from import scenarios which doesn’t cause this error: “<Action: Recalculate Prices and Discounts on Import>”. Unfortunately, this action ignores the flags that are set on the Recalculate Prices view, so I went ahead and built a simple customization that adds a custom action: In the custom action code, you can set all the flags directly; in the example above, only prices are getting recalcul
@dmazzullo77 I’m sorry, I don’t have the answer. I reviewed the file format and there seems to be some support for the addenda records, but since the provider is not really documented I wasn’t able to confirm. I suggest to reach out to support,
We only use the JSON format for our integrations and I honestly never had a use case for XML. The ability to access a generic inquiry through OData is very important for us and we wouldn’t be able to live with a DAC-based solution:Customers have created custom inquiries that they expect to be able to easily consume from our application Although we mostly work with simple DACs, there’s a few core inquiries that contain complex join conditions, self-joins that would likely be impossible to represent in a pure OData V4 queryIf Acumatica is to deprecate the OData V3 endpoint, we would still expect to have access to GIs so a V4-compatible endpoint would have to be exposed. I don’t think we rely on any V3-specific features, and going to V4 would actually allow us to remove some polyfills we built. Thanks for taking time to consider our feedback.
Hi @cherlene,There is a setting at the posting class level to automatically set the COGS subaccount to the sales subaccount: Note that previously created orders and shipments will not be impacted by this change; you’ll have to create a new order and invoice it to test. Happy Holidays,
Very strange. Can you send a screenshot of the Email activity that was generated in Acumatica? Go to “All Emails” (screen CO.40.90.70), and click on the message. Does it show the multiple e-mail addresses or just one?I do the same thing internally with a semicolon and it works just fine.
Thanks Stacy. I wanted to check the To: field in the template, that answers my question. Can you tell me where the first screenshot you sent comes from? Is it the customer maintenance or a sales order? Important to remember that if you make changes to the contact information that it does not update previously created sales orders unless you check/uncheck the Override Contact info to force it to refresh.
