Thanks for your reply @Laura02 ! Since my original post, I found that the Purchase Accrual Balance by Period inquiry that was added in 2022 R1 DOES include AP Bills that have been posted against POs prior to the PO Receipts, and can be accurately reconciled against the GL balance. It can also be used to reconcile prior periods, unlike the Purchase Accrual Summary & Detail reports. We were able to successfully use the GI to help a client reconcile their PO Accrual account over a period of 14 months.
I am working with a client now on setting up Configurator and I know already this is going to be an issue. They sell items with color and finish options and would want all products to be updated with new available colors, if colors are added to the Feature list. I’m assuming we’ll have to set up Business Event to perform updates, but I’m curious if anyone else has found a solution.
We need this too!
Thanks @Debbie Baldwin . I’ve added my idea for scannable clock in/out here.
@Debbie Baldwin thanks for the reply and for confirming what I suspected. We may have to look at customization for this customer. I thought of a tablet also, but the user would still need to individually select multiple lines every time they need to clock in/out of an operation and over time that may be cumbersome. The ideal scenario would be to allow *scanning* to clock in/out of production orders. This applies for both multiple production orders and single production orders. I’ve never understood why clock in/out doesn’t support scanning. We have about 3 clients who would use that.
I just encountered this issue as well, and found the same -- it will let you add a shift with alpha characters but will not let you add an alpha-coded shift to a work center. Thanks @donna80 for including your solution here.
I have just come across a client who requires this and have solved it for the time being by adding a subreport, which isn’t ideal. It’s baffling to me that Acumatica doesn’t already support this, as it is common in distribution companies. I will add it as an Idea in the Ideas area.
