Thanks for the link to the recordings.
@Chris Hackett I am very interested in attending this session, or at least receiving the recording of it (I do have a conflict for the first half hour of the meeting time).
I opened a case similar to this and was given this response:This was implemented starting in 20R2, and is specified in release notes as well as the following help article. https://help-2020r2.acumatica.com/(W(1))/Help?ScreenId=ShowWiki&pageid=59d32d60-ccc5-471e-bb6a-b03ef60a3318I have built a KB around this with complete instructions on new process (using business events), this method is preferable due to Send Reports' inability to track emails within the Acumatica system. The new method enables the ability to keep track of those emails being sent. Definitely take a look and let me know if any issues getting this set up using the new automation process and I would be more than happy to assist!https://community.acumatica.com/installation-and-configuration-14/after-an-upgrade-to-acumatica-erp-2020-r2-and-later-automation-schedules-for-sending-reports-could-stop-working-5618 I have successfully converted all my scheduled report templates to business events and they work well and are t
@manikantad18 Thank you for your help! I had tried to try with that line inactive and that is when the import button became disabled. I was finally able to get past that by redoing the prepare and then the import was successful! However, it did not mark the Administrator role active, but not a big deal. Thanks again.
@manikantad18 Yes that is the article I started from and built the data provider and import scenario from the screenshots in it.
@manikantad18 So the prepare worked and brought the data in from the Excel sheet, however, the import is failing with Error: 'Login' cannot be empty. Error: 'Email' cannot be empty.even though those fields in the sheet do have data in them. When I wanted to try a second record, I then got the error “The Import button is disabled”, which it is and I can’t get it to reactivate, so I can’t try any more imports.Trace below for both errors.Attached is the .xml of the import scenario.
@manikantad18 I just determined the problem. I had copied an import scenario to start with and it had a source restriction that was not needed. Now the prepare is working.
@manikantad18 There are two fields not active that are not relevent to the import and are not used in the scenario.
@Gabriel Michaud one of my first Acumatica customization (circa 2010-2011, Acumatica 2.2 -- a long time ago!) was a dynamic stock allocation mass-processing screen. The stock allocation feature was actually added to the distribution module by Acumatica following a request made by our customer, and my responsibility was to implement the mass processing screen. The customer was a distributor of board game and kids toys and would take orders for the holiday season months in advance, without actually knowing what would be delivered or what would be the most in-demand items. If a major publication suddenly recommended a game every parent would like to buy one, and stores would fight for allocation. Through the custom mass processing allocation screen, they were able to allocate inventory proportionally, ensuring fair allocation to all the retailers. The screen included a filter by customer customer class, ship date and order priority so it was also possible to go very granular -- let’s say y
@laura01 Thank you for this information, however, I am not a programmer and I don’t understand what to do with the information in the post. Where does the Javascript go?
@DConcannon @kbeatty21 So you have to know or lookup what the allowed substitutions are during the Kit Assembly?
@kbeatty21 How do you use the subtitute item during the kit assembly? Is @gdow23 suggestion the only option? There is a kit processing enhancement available from here https://www.acumatica.com/acumatica-marketplace/biztech-kit-processing/. It will do what we need, but also way more than we need and we were trying to save the cost and use default functionality since the “allow component substitions” was available on the screen.
Hi @kbeatty21 I work with Nancy and we have it setup like you referenced. When we go to do a Kit Assembly, it warns that the one item will go negative and when we try to release the assembly, it errors out. What triggers the substition in the Kit Assembly process?
It could be that they have an account setup with the carrier that notifies them when they have a package coming. I have it personally with both UPS and FedEx. It can email you several times for different status changes for the same package and when it is actually delivered.
