Looks similar to another post in the community for Construction: Thank you, we reviewed all the underlying defaults as referenced in that post and they are all set. I do believe you’re on the right track and that there is a something not set that is required and the error message is not specific enough to direct us to the missing link on the PO line item we are attempting to update.
@Dana Moffat Yes, I would appreciate that.
@xkylewrightx Perfect! Thank you very much.
@Naveen Boga we are running 2021-R2 and we do not see the fields after `Navigate To`. Is the `Use in Quick Search` a feature that was removed in the current versions or is there a way to enable this functionality? Missing fields in results grid Our install
We are migrating from an existing system where the customers have the following schema for their id which we would like to maintain in acumatica:Parent Customer Account = 1234567-00Child Customer Account 1 = 1234567-01Child Customer Account 2 = 1234567-02...etc. The business benefit is for user ease of identifying child accounts (aka locations) which can have many accounts that share the same name, i.e.:1234567-00 McDonalds (parent account)1234567-01 McDonalds1234567-02 McDonalds1234567-03 McDonalds...etc. I understand that the segmented key bizacct can be modified to have additional segments to match this format, however this also effects: vendors, branches, and employees, which in our case we just need a typical 7 digit auto number.
@kbeatty21 thank for the reply. Working through this it looks like I can sort of accomplish what I need by creating a non-stock item that is generic placeholder. Over all I am finding that the request/requisition features are half-baked at best so I a may have to customize or go a different route to make this work in a user-friendly manner.
@kbeatty21 thank you again, one step closer. The new item form did open, however a couple questions with that. Should the description populate in the form, i had to copy and paste it? The form that opens is the Stock item, however the items created in this scenario would nearly always be a non-stock item, is there a way to change the form that opens or have options?
@kbeatty21 thank for your response. We I double click the inventory id it only activates the field, clicking the magnify class only brings up existing inventory items with not apparent option to create a new item from my request. If I choose an existing item it overwrites the line (as expected). If I try to type a new item code I get an error that the item does not exist.
