Thanks for sharing this. @Ryan Brown and I recently started the #AcumaticaTnT segment (click here) on AUGForums.com/Live to cover tips and tricks like this. I’m curious, with your solution, does it only work with Items that have a transaction within the date range? In other words, if there was a transaction prior to the date range that left the Item with an ending balance of, say, 10, would the 10 get picked up and displayed on your report or would it be empty?
Thanks Gabriel. I think I was remembering Power View which could handle images in Excel. It was the precursor to Power BI Desktop. I agree, I don’t see a way to do this in regular Excel Pivot Tables. I did try doing this in Power BI Desktop. It kind of works because the client could export to PDF and send the PDF to their customer, but it’s not practical because they need to be able to save a long list of Stock Items as multiple pages, but Power BI Desktop exports everything as one page to PDF.
I’m building an Excel file for a client that uses Slicers and Pivot Tables. This Excel file is then used by Salespeople to build lists of Stock Items for customers that include availability data and various attributes. They also want to add thumbnail images to the Excel file which are stored as attachments in Acumatica.

Interesting approach @Neil Cantral. I didn’t think about using Audit History. That would work if there were enough Audit History events being captured. I suppose I could even use transactions created.Your Salesperson example brings up a broader point that I hadn’t considered, view only users. The kind of trail they leave is different from the kind of trail left by a data entry user.
This sure looks like a Pivot Table to me. You can use native Excel, as long as you’re running Excel on Windows (and hopefully the latest Office 365 version of Excel), to connect Excel to an Acumatica Generic Inquiry via OData and bring the data into the Excel Power BI Data Model, then build a Pivot Table on top of it.I think I could show you how to do it in 1-2 hours using my consulting offering: https://www.augforums.com/consulting
