Hello all,I have been looking out for ways or steps/guide for processing commissions via Payroll in Acumatica. Would really be grateful. Thanks in advance.

We have been unable to submit an ROE file processed through Acumatica, because Service Canada is rejecting the file type.  The file has to be in BLK format.  We have tried numerous ways to get this to work, but it appears that Acumatica needs to automatically convert the XML file to BLK when it’s processed and saved to the computer.  (Our previous system Sage converted automatically.  The file was in BLK before saving to computer)  Seems like a programming issue in Acumatica, but so far, support has been unable to figure this out.   I’m wondering if anybody using Canadian Payroll has had to process a termination and use Acumatica’s ROE feature?   And if so, how has it worked for you?  Hope this all made sense.  I am not a system analyst and my terminology may be confusing.  lolThanks!

Just upgraded to 2024R2, i have an employee that just moved to a different county (still in the state) and i changed the zip code to the new address but the employee taxes are not populating with the new county tax code. Any ideas why? Thank you! 

Has anyone found an add on that integrates with Acumatica payroll that allows for timeclock functionanlity (mobile or punch clock) and also allows for PTO requests, The only add-ons in the marketplace seem to be for project tracking or a full HRMS platform.  The native time entry for Acumatica mobile wants the user to put in the time start and then the hours. That won’t work for them. They need employees to punch in and out and have those show in the timecard with the system doing the match.    

Hi, In the old PC Bennett payroll there was an option for setting up and sending direct deposit paystubs via email. I do not think this exist in the new Acumatica payroll. My question is, has anyone created such a thing and can offer some advice on how to set it up? Thanks, Bob

I have a client that has to create zero net pays once in while and they can’t release the transaction. It shows open and nothing hits the general ledger. Is there a special way you have to release a paycheck that has zero net pay? I have tried releasing it from paychecks and adjustments (inquiry), releasing through the paycheck transaction, and through process payroll documents. It is stuck in a open status and the only options you get are calculate. Since it did not hit the ledger then how do you continue with the transaction? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

I am trying to create a special paycheck to correct a mistake that was made in the current pay period.In the Help Screen it says:“Special: Paychecks of this type are used for specific payments, such as bonuses. An employee may have as many special paychecks as necessary for one pay period.”Problem: I am able to CREATE and CALCULATE the paycheck, but I am not able to “CREATE PAYROLL PAYMENT”.The paycheck is there with an “Open” status as you can see here: I can go into “Process Payroll Documents” and “Recalculate”. It does show up there:However, when I go to “Create Payroll Payment” It will not show up.

Acumatica’s payroll tax set up does not allow for the entry of the mandatory SOC codes. Is anyone else needing to report to Indiana?

Hi, I am looking for input on the retirement plan: IRA Simple Plan We are using 2021 R2:  After doing a tax update last week the employer contribution for our IRA Simple plan suddenly changed from the ER contributing on total Gross Pay to contributing on Taxable Wages - which is less contribution dollars since this implementation has a few pretax deductions. This sudden change in behavior has sparked a debate.  Looking for input from others who have this retirement plan. Hi Community,I just can’t get the upload feature work properly in the Weekly Crew Time Entry.When it reads the upload file all fields are ok except date and time, I did numerous tests changing the format of these fields but still Acumatica can’t process it and so I have to manually enter them which is time wasting.Are any of you successfully using this feature? Can you share a working upload file so I can test and try to figure out where my setup is wrong? Thanks in advanced,Abel

Is anyone using this document successfully through Aatrix in any jurisdictions? I have tested the output in Pennsylvania and Ohio and the design drops local taxes from the tax totals and deduction fields rendering it useless to the client. I would like to know if these issues are being seen in other states and if other partners have discovered a way to utilize this built in design, we have resorted to using a customized report through Acumatica report writer to acheive this functionality. 

In other systems we have setup a Tiered PTO schedule for time off. Which is directly run off of your hire date. Example:0-4 years gets a total of 2.7692 Accrued Hrs per week (per pay period)5-9 years gets a total of 3.5385 Accrued Hrs per week (per pay period)10+ years gets a total of 4.3077 Accrued Hrs per week (per pay period)So when Payroll is run it validates the years from your hire date - and then gives you the correct accrued vacation time per pay period. I cannot seem to find a way to set this up in Acumatica Payroll. Is this doable? Or does anybody know of a good way to set this up in any way shape or fashion to get this accomplished - preferably not just having the PR person verify employees tiers and manually update them as they cross into another tier. Thank you! 

 I was discussing activities with a coworker and he mentioned that users should be able to enter TIME SPENT on an activity or task --  I see the fields on the form – but I could not figure out initially how to “update” or edit those fields. In the Tasks – it did not allow for it – can you confirm that the type of activity has to be a WORK ACTIVITY to allow for the time entry?        

We have an employee that was on leave for a few months and is now back and I need to create a new time card for this week.  When I go into Time and Expenses, and Employee Time Cards and pick this employee, it only allows me to create the next time card after the employee went on leave.  Surely I do not have to create each time card individually until I get to this week?  

I am wanting to set up prevailing wages, and fringe benefits for our certified projects in Acumatica. I was able to figure out how to set up the wages, but need assistance with the fringe benefits. Can anyone teach me how to set this up? Or point me in the right direction? Thank you!

Acumatica 2021R2 - the Admin user can open the Employee Payroll Settings form w/o and issue.  We’ve added two users with the Administrator role and both are experiencing the error:Cannot open this record for editing.  The form PR20300 does not contain it.What can cause this error?  I’ve tried adding all the PR Roles to my own User ID but still experience the same issue.Hoping the community can point me in the right direction.Thank you,MIke Lupro

Trying to Import paychecks for a salaried , when using the “Import PR Paycheck Earnings” Import scenario we are trying to set the Amount to $3786.96. However the amount field is not being imported. The Hours field imports no problem. The amount field is being set automatically to the Employees current biweekly salary amount $3020.35. Is there anyway to force the amount to be $3786.96 so as to match the legacy system?      

Have been configuring Time Cards for use for employees.  When in the detail line item of the time card, after selecting the earning type, project, project task and labor item, when we get to the day to enter the time, receive an error: cast is not valid.  So I cannot add time.  What would be causing this error? Is anyone else in Washington state having issues with their Paid Family medical not calculating correctly starting at the end of Q2 2023?My testing and research is showing that all of a sudden this tax is way over deducting from my employees and it appears to be coinciding with the roll-out/implementation of the new WA Cares tax.I’ve checked my tax settings for WA FLI and they have not changed, so I’m stumped as to why the change?
