Payroll Personal View Dashboard not working

Up until last week, the Payroll Personal View dashboard that is “out of the box” was working in showing payroll information for our employees.  For our employee’s direct deposit last week, it stopped showing data and this week it is completely blank.  Has anyone encountered this issue and how were you able to fix the problem?  We have not altered this dashboard in any way.  I did also try and do a “Reset to Predefined” in the Dashboard configuration screen and that did not work either. Current View:

W2 filing for local municipalities - Ohio

one of my clients is telling me that Aatrix does not have a capability in Ohio to file w2s for local municipalities. how are other users in the system working around this restriction? My clients are very confused on how to proceed and Aatrix support has been incredibly unhelpful.

PTO Accruals across calendar years appears to be broken. Double-check your records

We've done enough testing of this (trying to find a work around) that it's pretty clear what is happening is a bug and not a misconfiguration/misunderstanding.  We already have a support ticket open, but I wanted to share out situation in case anyone else might be unknowingly having the same symptoms. Problem appears to occur when the *pay period* crosses the calendar year boundary.  This is because Acumatica breaks it up into two PTO bank records - a 2021 portion and a 2022 portion.  Then the PTO allocated is pro-rated across the payroll week... so in our scenario, with a payroll week from Monday-Sunday, two days are in 2022.  And so our notional 1.54hr PTO weekly accrual gets split into a 2021 portion (1.1hrs) and a 2022 portion (.44hrs).On that first paystub of the year, we see ONLY the .44hrs allocable to 2022 reflected (same in the PTO Details by Employee Report -- though on THAT report you see the 2021 record broken out, it just isn’t summarized correctly.. How does Acumatica know what "Account Group" should use for Employee Timesheet and payroll posting?

Hello Community, I see when employees enter their Time Activities using a Project => Task => Cost Code, Acumatica in the Project Cost Budget creates a line with the same info plus “Account Group” L. How does Acumatica know what Account Group should use?@brandontfrank

Payroll Tax Cap Not Working

Hello, Would anyone have a clue to why Acumatica (Symmetry Tax Engine) Taxes are not capping? I cant find a way to adjust any setting to correct this. In Washington, Employer Admin fund is 0.03% of gross wages with an assessable wage cap of $62500, making a contribution cap of $18.75. Acumatica is not taking this into consideration and continues to withhold after the $18.75 is reached. This is happening for the SUI too. I have checked the Tax Maintenance and the cap is configured correctly. We made sure that the payroll employee payroll settings have not been overridden for the specific individual.  The above amount of 0.94 cent should be 0.70 to take the accrued 18.05 into consideration.   Any help, thoughts, insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Employee Payment Settings - Can

On the Employees screen EP203000 Financial Settings tab, are these settings in any way related to the Payroll or simply for reimbursing the employee for (say) expenses they incurred on behalf of company X, or something else outside the payroll.  Screenshot attached.At the moment when we reimburse employees for expenses they have incurred on our behalf, the payments are coming out of the Company Y bank account (all staff are employed by Company Y) and I believe these fields are driving that. I want to change the Cash Account (and Payment Method if possible) to something related to Company X without impacting the actual Payroll (wages & salaries should still be paid from the Company Y account).The help screen (screenshot also attached) refers to "compensation payments" which I infer to be unrelated to wages & salaries from the Payroll.  However it might be related - I cannot find a definition of "compensation payments" in the help system.

Acumatica Payroll PTO Banks adjustment

Has anyone figured out how you would make a manual entry to an employees PTO bank. For example, if the accrual was setup wrong, or the company decided to give them some extra time for whatever reason. I can’t figure out how I would adjust the time they have for that pto.

How to configure ACH transaction code

I am currently trying to configure an ACH file that my customer uses for payroll, and I am not sure how to have the transaction type change as needed. Currently, the code is 22, but if a check is $0, it needs to change to a 23 to indicate that it is a pre-note. I cant seem to find anything for this in the .txt file or the export scenario - what is the best way to go about this?

Is there a way to easily enter a "Per Diem" expense in time entry and have it paid through payroll?

In our case, the supervisor would be entering the number of days that a per-diem should be paid per pay period.   The rate will be tied to the project (i.e. all employees working on the same project would get the same "per diem" amount for each day they worked).  It would be paid as a lump sum (un-taxed) total per paycheck, based on the number of days the employee worked on one or more “per diem” projects.P.S.  In our case they will be sending time entries to a third party ISV, but this could apply to a client that uses Acumatica payroll as well.Any thoughts?

Payroll Issues - Not Calculating Regular Paychecks

Recently ran a payroll. Ran the normal process. The only thing I did different is set up a new Floating holiday line item (for all employees, the same way, for the same amount of time), and added the new year of benefits and deductions. However, there were three, completely random (so we think) employees who the system will NOT calculate their paycheck for.Two of them are getting the following error, “Sequence contains no elements”. This is the trace: The other one is getting the following error, “Object reference not set to an instance of an object”. This is the trace: Does anyone have any experience with this? Or have resolution based on their reading of the trace log? To me it seems as though it has to do with the PTO banks for both, but I’m unsure. And all other employees were successfully calculated, processed, and released.

Single Paymaster - Multi-company

We have a client who is managing multiple companies in a single tenant.  For the purposes of payroll tax reporting, all employees are employed by one company, but their expenses are to be allocated to the companies for which their work is being performed.  Put another way - let’s assume that all 40 employees are legally employed by Company A.  All benefits, workers’ comp and taxes are paid under Company A’s umbrella.  Let’s further assume that 10 of these employees’ work is dedicated to Company B.  The client would like to report his payroll to the various tax agencies under Company A, but they want the associated expense for these employees to go to Company B.  With that scenario in mind, to which Branch/Company should the employee be assigned?  How does the Employee’s branch/company assignment impact Payroll Tax reporting?  Does Aatrix look at the EIN of the branch that the employee is assigned to, or by EIN of the company from which the employee is paid, if different from the employ

Prospective Acumatica Client - Time Clock Integration w/Manufacturing

Good morning.I am a potential customer of Acumatica and I am curious about some of the solutions I’ve read on here for capturing time on orders on the production floor.  We have a small-medium manufacturing facility in which I’ll need to expense time to large time-frame production orders as well on spare parts sales orders.  We have about 50 people clocking in and out of orders throughout the day.  Currently we use old school punch clocks with hand written order numbers for allocation.  This process I feel will be even more tedious in Acumatica, hence the need for streamlined time data collection fed to ERP payroll.So far I read here that people have written their own code to accomplish this and a few people dismayed at the time it takes to do this through Acumatica, with no comoon concesus, as far as I’ve read, on which is best practices.  I’d appreciate any feedback ffrom people with similar requirements and how they have tackled this issue.Thanks for your time and have a fantastic d

Cash account (not a control account) restrict use

Is there a way to restrict cash account from being used in Paychecks detail section? We have a client that accidentally entered cash GL account on the details section of a paycheck, they would like to avoid doing this in the future.

Paid Holidays / Work Calendar Exceptions

What is the best practice to pay employees for a holiday that was not setup in the work calendar Exceptions? At the time of setup, the customer missed informing us that Easter is a paid holiday. It wasn’t setup therefore we now need to get this holiday paid to the employees.  We are thinking about using Paychecks and Adjustments entry with check type = Special. Can you confirm best practice?  Also, since Easter holiday and some others float around to different dates, is it understood that we should adjust the Work Calendar Exceptions list at the beginning of a new year for the upcoming years’ proper holiday dates? Thank you much!Amy

Approved Timecard still show in the Approve Time Activity screen

Hi All,We are using the Approve Time Activity Summaries [ScreenId=EP507030] or Approve Time Activities [ScreenId=EP507010] screen to approve timecard related to a project. In this screen even though the timecard is approved/rejected already it still shows in both screen, it should be eliminated on the screen as this timecard has been processed already. Anyone who experience the same issues? Payroll Tax Withholding - State Lived is Different than State Worked With Reciprocity Between the States

We have a client who is getting ready to go-live with payroll.  They have a multi-state payroll with many unions and many certified projects.  They have just told me that they have several employees who live in one state (e.g. WI), but work in a different state (e.g. IL) and there is reciprocity between the states.  So the employee can choose which state that want for State Income tax withholding.  Which isn’t a big deal, it can be done with the Work Location.  Here’s the kicker….The unemployment tax has to be go to the state worked, regardless of the state the employee chooses for withholding.  In my example, the employee lives in WI and want state income tax withholding in WI, but works in IL so the system needs to calculate IL SUTA tax.  Any ideas on how to achieve this?

Payroll Posting Settings Based on Projects

During the payroll training this week their was a discussion about the general ledger accounts for  earnings expense, tax expense and benefit expense being driven by a project.  I was wondering if in the design, you will be supporting non-construction based projects or only the construction edition?  From what was discussed, it sounded like these accounts would come from the cost centers, which I don’t think is part of the standard project edition.  As a follow up, it would be helpful to provide some level of coding for “x” projects.  If the accounts are going to be based on projects where do the non- project costs go?

Setting up payroll for a new client. One Earning Type code, out of many, is not to be included in over time calculations. Does anyone know how I might configure this exclusion to OT?

My current client has many Earning Type codes and they are all included in OT calculations except one.  This miscellaneous Earning type is used when the company ‘gifts’ an employee a day off with pay.  A gifted day off, such as this, is not eligible to count towards OT pay for the week.  Has anyone ever run into a scenario like this? Thanks in advance for any input.

Acumatica Payroll - How would I configure Acumatica out of the box to have Holidays count towards weekly OT.

Scenario 1) Holidays are days off for the employees but the time needs to count towards weekly OT.  If the employee had Monday off as a holiday, but then works a 40 week on top of the holiday, the employee would get 8 hours of OT.

Payroll state withholding under the Military Spouses Residency Relief Act

We have a new payroll client that has one work location in the state of Maryland.  One employee’s spouse is an active military duty employee working in the state of Maryland but declaring Georgia as their state of residence.  I am trying to get Acumatica payroll to calculate Georgia withholding.  It wants to calculate Maryland.  Even if I put a Georgia employee address, it still does not calculate Georgia taxes.  From a quick google search, it looks like Georgia withholds based on the work state.  Does that mean the only way I can get Acumatica to calculate GA is to set up a Georgia work state which is just not a true statement.  Am I missing something?

Our employees are trying to view their payroll check stub in the Acumatica profile, but it shows a trace error. Anyone else experience this? It has worked all year, but recently stopped.

Can Acumatica Payroll handle leave without pay?

Can Acumatica handle tracking Leave Without Pay?  I need to track the hours but the pay is 0.00. I setup an Earning Type for this and added it to my paycheck test in Paychecks and Adjustments.  I was able to add the earnings detail line with hours and set the pay rate to 0.00 however, during the Calculation process, Acumatica removed the line.  Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Payroll - Importing of Hours From External Systems

Hello all,I am new to Acumatica. What is the recommended approach for bulk importing of data from external timekeeping systems into the Payroll module?Specifically, my company is a franchisee of QSRs and the majority of our timekeeping is performed at the restaurant level through our POS system. We can currently get the data exported from our system either as a CSV or JSON formats. My question is, what is the recommended approach for importing such data into Acumatica’s payroll module for processing? We do not plan on using the Timekeeping features of Acumatica at our restaurants and entering the data manually is entirely impractical given the number of employees, so neither of these options will work. The system does not seem to expose a Web Service endpoint that could be used, nor did I see an “Import Scenario” that would be appropriate for bulk import. Any suggestions?Thanks!
