We are in the middle of implementation and I am writing a workflow for issuing Purchase Orders to Outside Process vendors for metal finishing (Ie: Powdercoating, Plating, etc),  however I am not certain that I am totally clear on the correct process. We have setup non-stock items to represent the outside processes.  These have been defined as a service, They have vendor(s) associated with them on the vendors tab and the default price as been set to $1.00.   On the manufactured (stock) item I have defined a BOM and on the operation step for the outside service I have added the Non-Stock item (Powdercoat) to the BOM as a material.  The qty required has been set to the per-piece cost that I was quoted,  the Unit cost remains at $1.00, The material type has been set to “Sub Contract” and the Subcontract Source has been set to “Purchase”.  On the Outside processes tab I have also checked the “Outside Process” box and have selected the preferred vendor for this operation.  

Does anybody have an import scenario for the product configurator?

I have a couple of questions regarding sales persons that are linked to employees which are linked to a user and how to use this set up conveniently in Acumatica. Basically I want the ability for the logged in user to only have access to the orders and customers which they are the default sales person for. This could be in reports, dashboards, GI screens, etc. @ME does not work as a value in the default sales person field.How can I set up a filter on the sales order screen to view all sales orders with my logged in user as the sales person. I want this filter to automatically default to show the logged in users customers and sales orders without having to set the filter explicitly to that sales person. I’d like the system to detect the salesperson based on the logged in user and reflect this in filters for sales orders. I’ve tried setting Default Sales Person = @ME but that doesn’t work.My Goal is to provide a filter to my sales persons so they can see all of the order

Hello, can someone point me the right direction to create a leg of another bom within a bom?Thank youZoey  

I need to advise the sales team regarding the availability of materials in the multilevel BOMs (Capable to Promise (CTP) multi-level BoM), which may include both Manufacturing and purchasing items at various levels. Any ideas on how to create a GI or even generate a report showing the INSiteStatus.QtyAvail using AMMultiLevelBomData?

Would anyone know if there is a posibility to update the start/end dates on an operation itself? i know you can update the actual work order but i would like to have seperate dates for each operation so each team have there own start date.Thanks!

there is available inventory but i am still getting this message.    There is enough availability on hand.  i am only allocating 2 pcs and the system shows 5 available between my two shipping locations.  i’ve checked Inventory Allocation Details but i'm not sure how to read it.   but i did check all the sales orders with this part number and i don't have any allocated as show in Inventory summary above.    Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be great.   

After releasing a pile of production tickets the sales order due date has been pushed out over a month and now I want to update all those tickets (reschedule them).  Is this possible? 

We are unable to close a production order. It might have been forcefully completed or a move transaction deleted. Need guidance to resolve this and close the production order. Inventory module cannot be closed due to this error.Missing Move Transaction: When I click one of the move transaction numbers, it doesn’t react. It seems like it was forcefully deleted. Production order status: Completed.How can I resolve this to close the books?

Acumatica allows expired materials to be used in production despite the fact that an expiration date is set. No warning to user or hard stop.Does anyone have a workaround for this other than a custom inquiry that allows to find expired material and remove it from the shelves?We are in a regulated industry (medical device) and current feedback from Quality is that the workaround is not sufficient and an active warning, if not a stop, from the system is the minimum that has to be implemented.

I am trying to get a report showing detailed BOMs including costing and I can’t seem to find how to do this? Can anyone help?

We include within the BOM an Outside service process where the cost is billed on PO as not stock item. Is there a way to included the cost from non-stock items with the BOM and Production Order.

Stock item has demand and shows up in Inventory planning display.Source accurately shows as “Manufacturing”.It has an active BOM.I select the line and click the action of “Manufacture”.It looks like it is working, and the message comes up “The operation has completed”.However, the line remains in the inventory planning display grid, and not production order is created.Any thoughts why the production order is not created?Thanks!

When generating production order from sales order, the production order is created, but the production number does not show up on the Sales Orders details section. It's showing <NEW>. This happens on all production orders generated from sales orders. How do I fix this?Thanks!

Does anyone have an export scenario that will export BOM’s so that they can be imported into another tenant

Does anyone have an import template for multi level BOMs.  I have BOMs that have multiple levels and include Outside processing. 2020 R2.

When scanning multiple Materials in one Scan Materials session, it defaults the quantity on the first line, and from there on out it only records quantity one.  For example, I have a work order that contains qty 4 EA of three different items.  Scanning the first item records an issue of qty 4.  The other two items only have issue qty of 1.  I have messed with Production Preferences related to bar coding to no avail.

As shown in the screenshot below, we understand that when a Move transaction is performed, the system should create both: The Move Transaction, and The corresponding Cost Transaction.
