Using existing Salesforce integration vs third-party provider (like Celigo)

Hello all,

Curious to hear experiences from the community on Salesforce integration. We’ve deployed the existing integration described in the Acumatica help files.

What advantages/disadvantages have people seen who have chosen to deploy with a third-party integrator vs the integration that ships with the product?

Just curious what people’s experiences have been.

I use Celigo with 3 clients Salesforce instances.  It took a bit to learn as a non specialist in this area but it was easy to setup once I got the hang of it and now our business couldn’t live without it.  One thing I would suggest if your working with Salesforce is a great little plugin tool.  Salesforce inspector.  it works with Chrome and Firefox and maybe other browsers but gives you views into field names and relationships that make the whole process a breese to setup.

The issue that drove me to Celigo in the first place was I was having a lot of trouble with my partners getting the Token setup to connect directly with Acumatica and with Celigo I was able to use a normal login that automatically refreshes to keep it active.

The nice thing about Celigo for me was that they will give you a free account to test things out with one flow at a time active to insure it will meet your business needs.  I used that till I was sure I had everything setup the way I wanted and then we went for the paid account.  I know its a month after your last post but I figured this could still be helpful to someone.

We are a VAR and have a customer that would like Sales Force Lightening (also called Thirsty for Coke) integration to Acumatica to be able to pull Preventative Maintenance information.  Has anyone done this?

Thank you for your most valuable reply! This helps.

My name is Doug I am with Lightspeed Voice we are an Acumatica 3rd Party ISV that integrates with Acumatica and Sales Force on the voice side.  Our integration was developed to be easy for Administrators to implement, I would be happy to chat about our experiences.

Thanks Doug. We haven’t gotten any requests for that but it’s good to know. Makes sense that your tool would integrate with both platforms.

I’m mainly curious why/whether people have chosen a third-party Salesforce data integration rather than the one that ships with Acumatica.

Hey Arline!  We’re an Acumatica and Salesforce partner and connectivity is our core business.  I’d be delighted to schedule some time to discuss your needs.  Would you like to learn more?  https://www.cdata.com/drivers/acumatica/
