We want to keep track of the vehicles we own and use in servicing our clients. We want to be able to also track any costs to repair or maintain each respective vehicle over time. When creating a vehicle, we can enter purchase information but I do not see anywhere whereby we can track expenses incurred over time for the vehicle. Should we be using some other module to do this? Should we be creating individual internal projects for each vehicle to track costs against them?

If an expense is capital / to be added to asset cost, one can use Purchasing + transaction on FA module. Else, one can use separate GL account ( expense, per vehicle ) or a Sub account segment for vehicle and values set for each vehicle. This way, at transaction level, one can tag either specific expense account based on vehicle or a specific sub account. This enables one run a report per vehicle / period.
