Hi,

Need to remove Inventory following allocation transaction.

Actual Transaction is not showing this. But it is showing Inventory Balance Report.

No need to show this Item. We disallow Item Negative balance in item class Level.

Inventory Balance Report

Item Class Level.

Hi @NAthukorala47  You don’t want to display the Negative Qty Available items in the Inventory Balance Report?  Please confirm.

Hi Naveen,

Not only Report.

When i select the Location there were not Pick0001 item balance. System was not allowed to release. Showed a error as on hand will go negative. This behavior acceptable.

Why system allocate these 4qty to particular for Locator?

System has created a Allocation Transaction. Need to avoid such allocation transactions.

HI @NAthukorala47  Since, you have SAVED the Issue document Qty will be allocated to that particular Location based on the settings at the Warehouse screen.

Acumatica still, allow us to SAVE the document in this case, and OOB, I don’t think we have a feature to NOT to save the document, until and unless we have a customization in place.

Dear Naveen,

Which setting you mention in Warehouse screen? have there possibility to change Inventory allocation Transactions?

Regards

Nethupul

Hi @NAthukorala47

Standard acumatica only disallow the negative on hand qty by using product class configuration.
fyi= The allocation register the all transaction that has not impact with the on hand qty.

You will need customization to disallow negative available qty.
This customization should be applied to transaction that deduct qty (e.g. Inventory issue, sales order, shipment, Inventory adjustment, Inventory transfer).

I have made this customization for our client.

Hi @NAthukorala47

Since the negative quantity is not allowed for said item, the issue document should exist as on-hand quantity is zero.

  • Was the setting ‘Allow negative quantity’ changed recently ( was it enabled earlier when the issue document was created)?

Here is what I suggest:

  • Run ‘Validate inventory’ for said Item and warehouse combination (warehouse where the allocation is reflected)
  • Check the transaction history as well. Was the issue document processed further and was there a physical shipment? If yes, then, one may create an inventory adjustment document to bring 4 units into stock.

Hi Vijey,

All the time we can not create the inventory adjustments.

If we do the customization could you mention the approach to follow?

Hi @NAthukorala47

We need to investigate this issue in detail if this is happening on regular basis. Basically, system is allowing you create an issue without negative quantity being allowed for the item. I suggest you get this investigated by support to find the root cause.

Regards,

Hi Nethupul,

To removing the transaction in Allocation detail inquiry, you need to delete the detail transaction. So if you don’t want to record it on inventory allocation detail inquiry, then user should not able to save the transaction if qty available less than qty issue. This is the approach customization that you should built.
