I get this error when trying to print a check.   

How is everyone handling retention billings with the Acumatica generated AIA billing form?  It is my understanding that if you have several periods of billing, you will get a separate billing form for each one. Is there a way to get one retention bill?  

Both Project Tasks and Cost Codes provide ways to break out project transactions into data subsets.  To better understand Acumatica’s design, would love some forum user feedback as to real world examples of the following:Project Tasks Cost CodesAny explanation of the difference between these two data elements would be most helpful.Additionally:Are there instances where a single Project Task might be sufficient?Our company is not engaged in vertical construction projects, so looking to better understand the difference between these two data elements and how they might be applied to natural gas pipeline installation projects (labor, equipment rental, materials), natural gas pipeline repair projects (labor & equipment rental), and billable service projects (labor only). 

I have several supplier performance GIs that show outstanding items and due dates and would love to be able to set the GI to be extracted as Excel or CSV and emailed to a specific address each day. To be clear, each supplier has their own GI so it is not like i need to filter the GI based on supplier - all results in the GI can go on the same email.

Are you using Project Budget Forecasting (PM209600) or Cost Projections (PM305000)? If yes, are you getting the desired results? Do you wish you could do more?  If no, why not? Do you need additional functionality for your specific workflows? Could you use a short training session to get you started? 

Hi there - We are a construction company that is new to Acumatica.  Our employees recently started entering time into Acumatica through Employee Time Cards.  I am seeking feedback on what the appropriate workflow should be for releasing the time to ultimately post to the GL.   Right now our workflow is:→ Employee completes the Time Card → submits the Time Card for approval → Time Card is approved → we then “Process the Time Activity” via “Release Time Activities” → then Release the Project Transaction generated from the processed Time Activity.This process seems to work well for processing the time through to a Project and GL posting, but I’ve noticed that the Time Card remains in a “Approved” status rather than “Released”.   I suspect it may be that I am mixing the Time Card workflow with the Time Activity workflow and that I should “Release Time Cards” rather than “Process/Release Time Activity”.  If this is the case than I am additionally seeking guidance on

Is there any way to customize Acumatica’s pages .cs code inside the customization projects or VS? For starter I would like to get rid eye hurting red color of Approvals screen.

When I need to add/revise a line of a PO, I get an error.  It’s been happening when I try to enter an AP bill as well.  I’ve looked at the vendor profile and viewed the account, made a small change then saved.   Then changed the vendor in the PO, saved, and changed it back, but I cannot save the PO and the error continues to appear.   Anyone know how I can correct this?

Cannot release payment, the system prompts the error message, how to resolve this error? 

Hello,I am new to Construction (but not to Projects and not to Acumatica). I’m looking to confirm the steps for properly correcting customer project invoices with retainage in the below circumstances.Here’s the situation.We created a pro forma and invoice for a regular progress billing on 5/15 and released it, creating PF = A000008 and AR doc = A000072,(retainage amount on A000072 was $766). Then we also needed to bill retainage, so we released the retainage. We released only the $766 amount (using the same date as the progress invoice) producing AR doc = A000074 and related PF = A000008. On 5/16, we released the rest of the project retainage,  $153,702. This seems to have created 2 AR docs (A000075 and 76):Doc 75 has the retainage invoice amount for the $153k, but no pro forma. Doc 76 is for $0 and has the pro forma with AIA doc showing $153k due, but we haven’t released it yet.The goal her

We may have 150 to 300 employees every month in construction.  On site workers may be on a project for 2 weeks or 6 months.  They may be off for 3 months or take vacations etc.Time Cards in Acumatica (I made an import scenario from their excel timesheets) forces every entry to the next week regardless of the week that is attempted to be entered.Does anyone know a way to ‘miss weeks’?  It’s ridiculous to track a large amount of people that may not have worked for 1 or 12 weeks and when they return we have to enter a pile of zero time cards to fill the blanks.

I am building a GI and want to create a formula to add two fields as one.  I am trying to crete output of the vendor ID with the PO Number.  I would also like to add a space between the two records. I am using the POOrder Object.  I have placed the following in the Data Field =Concat([POOrder.VendorID],[POOrder.OrderNbr])This returns the following error where 21-200379 is the PO.OrderNbr Not sure where to go from here.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

In many screens, such as PO, Issue, AP Bill, Receipt, even Project Transactions, the system allows a user to choose an existing Project Task and then apply any Cost Code existing on the project to that Task even if that combination of Project Task/Cost Code does not exist on the Project Cost Budget.The system currently adds a new row in the Cost Budget, which to my client is a real issue.Furthermore, it would be additionally helpful to NOT allow new Task/Cost Code/Account Group combinations beyond what exists on the Cost Budget.Has anyone else ran across this issue and were you able to prevent it from happening?

Implementation questions What is the simple most effective way to import 100s of Live projects into our customers new environment? Is it import scenarios and then some manual work project by project for balances etc?   Is it possible to bring over projects which are midway complete into Acumatica? I.e., a project 6 months into 12-month schedule and on claim (proforma invoice) no.6 - How do we import and indicate or make the project start in Acumatica from that same reference no.6?

It would be very nice to be able to add separate subprojects (Child) to a Main Project to be able to track total revenue.  These would be projects where a change order wouldn’t make sense.  Say a main development project (progress billing), a separate child project for reoccurring billing of a maintenance contract. and a separate child project for T&M Billing.  Each of these has different revenue recognition needs and occur on different billing schedules but It would nice to be able to roll them up for reporting.

I have 2 quantities ordered on my PO but the system is not allowing me to receive items due to error saying “The purchase order does not contain any items to be received.”

 We have really changed the way the Change Order process for a specialty contractor works. If anyone would like to work together and collaborate on reports and small improvements to the screens I would like to start a user group. My goal is too leave all the Acumatica functionality in place so upgrades are not impacted. A primary change in the process flow is we have created a PM status vs the Acumatica “accounting status”. In our world it takes a long time for CO to be officially approved and settled. I have a long way to go with the summaries but it seems to be working well.Michael Michael Wansor JCM Associates. How to automatically update project current margin estimate that equals total revenue budget minus total cost budget divided by total revenue budget?

We have a client who wants the “Period to” field on the Pro Forma invoice to reflect the end of the billing month, even when the invoice date is mid-month.I’ve tried every formula and table I can think of, but haven’t found a permanent work-around. For now, I’m using the month (e.g. If month = 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, or 12 then 31), which will work until leap year in February 2024.Has anyone else found a formula combination that shows the month-end date?

How does one return to the original width of fields after clicking "Fit to Screen"?
