Configuration and Installation

Hi,We are currently looking at moving forward with an implementation of Acumatica in our company but we are finding the demos are not detailed enough to drill down into some of the major things we are concerned about. Is there any way to get a copy of the installation software and maybe the demo database for us to install in a test environment and play around with different scenarios ourselves? It seems like the only way to download the software is through the Acumatica partner portal which we do not have access to.Thank You.

I am trying to setup Device hub on our server, but am getting a permissions error with theconnection to ERP...[Error] There was an error opening the connection: StatusCode: 403, ReasonPhrase: 'Forbidden', Version: 1.1, Content: System.Net.Http.StreamContent, Headers: So this results in Acumatica (MYOB Advanced in Australia) not seeing the printers that are setup in DeviceHub, but if I add the printers manually in the ERP then the DeviceHub recognizes them as setup… but still nothing is found in Acumatica.

I am wondering if anyone can help me find the steps to enable SSO (Microsoft Azure AD, OAuth 2.0) on Acumatica Cloud.Do not need the steps to create an application in Azure AD. Only the Acumatica side.We are not able to create an external identity provider, and all of the instructions I find are for on-prem instances not SaaS and require modifying the install filesThank you!!

Is there anywhere in the Help file or otherwise that provides a list of all the special roles in Acumatica? We’ve run across this issue when we create a new role for a specific job. We assign the user the correct access rights for the screen but some UI elements are tied to a special role so they still don’t show.In our case it was being able to open / close Financial Periods-that function is tied to the Financial Supervisor roleHere is a list of special roles that I’ve come up with so far. I would love to have a complete list with explanations. This is configured to every user mail account in the MS admin center. I am trying to help a customer with trying to get DeviceHub setup and eventually to get FedEx labels to print via DeviceHub.There are bits of information scattered in the community and on other Acumatica focused sites on the web. Acumatica help documentation also is difficult to find instructions for DeviceHub installation and configuration.Does anyone have a top-to-bottom documentation on at least the DeviceHub setup and usage? Thank you,Greg

We are running into problems with creating a new task on the Tasks screen under Time & Expenses.From looking at the effective rights of the user in Access rights by user the user shows as having delete permission on the tasks screen. They can get to the screen and even click to add a task when an error message pops up saying ‘You have insufficient rights to access the object (Cst_CRTaskMaint).’How can I determine why this is failing?  Does this depend on the user being granted access to another screen first?  Has anyone else run into this issue?Thanks for any help,Phil

Hi there,I am new to Acumatica. We are currently running a system email account in Acumatica. We want to move to having individual email accounts set up in Acumatica. At the moment, a test user account and email were created in Acumatica and Office 365. In system email accounts, I made an email account ID and name, POP3 Incoming mail server outlook.office365.com, outgoing smtp.office365.com, incoming server port 995 outgoing 587, TLS for encryption. Timeout 2 Mins; however, when testing, it fails. All ports are open on the Office 365 side. I want to seek guidance on how to get this test account operational in Acumatica. Thank you in advance for any help and advice.

After login, the user only gets a spinning wheel and cannot access any screens to use the system.This issue was reported also for Google Chrome, version 76/77, and to proceed to work I had to set Disabled on Enable lazy frame loading (chrome://flags/). But this flag does not exist on the new version of Google Chrome.I mention that this issue I found on the Acumatica version 17.212.0020.  

I would like to start a conversation about optimizing the performance of Acumatica ERP. This is a pretty general statement, as some processes or screens may require more heavy lifting than others, so there is of course no one-size-fits-all for performance tuning. With that said, let’s define performance as “the 80/20 rule for most users most of the time”. Hi, Hoping someone can help, we have a site that want to use SSO with Azure and I’m looking for a config guide as the help files don't really cover it it any detail and i think I’m missing something.I’ve created a App in azure and configured it (i hope) but when i Associate the user from the User Profile Screen i get We're unable to complete your requestunauthorized_client: The client does not exist or is not enabled for consumers. If you are the application developer, configure a new application through the App Registrations in the Azure Portal at https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2083908. Which makes me thinks my application is not configured correctly! Can anyone provide a “best practices” for optimizing IIS in production? We’ve experienced the following:IIS seems to need to “cold start” periodically. Takes about 30 seconds.Occasionally, during the day, while working with the system, it will “pause” for 20-30 seconds.The server CPU and memory are at less than 20% usage, as is the DB, so we have lots of horsepower.The server has a 10GB internet connection, and the client is on a 1 GB fibre.My thought is that this is an IIS configuration issue.

I had a client today ask me directly what the requirements are for a system email account. They had initially setup a group email list, not a true mailbox and I knew that was likely not acceptable. There are several tiers for the actual mailbox with differing prices. There is an email kiosk account that is most affordable, and limits the inbox size to 2GB. Is the size of that mailbox any sort of Acumatica requirement, or is this just dependent on how much email the users expect to have coming through? The costs involved are relatively minor but I wanted to be prepared when I follow up.

Good day,Client has been using System Email Accounts to send / Received emails from Acumatica using Outlook (they dont have Acumatica integration on their outlook app in windows), starting on 4/8/21, the client started noticing that the emails on her inbox will automatically change to read, other users that have Acumatica accounts that also have System Email Accounts setup in Acumatica will have same issue. After several tries with their IT person from there email server, we inactivate the System Email Account for her by changing the password to something incorrect, and the issue stop. I have sit checking this issue and it occurs when the System Email Account is setup correctly.  I have already change the incoming mail server from smtp.office365.com to outlook.office365.com to smtp.office365.com. But this did not fixed the issue.  I have also test where the password in incorrect and the test is bad, and emails remain unread on my clients outlook ap

Hi, I am in the process of implementing email in Acumatica and have been having difficulty in figuring out how to have the users email address populate automatically in the email that is being sent.  My current setup is that each user has there own email configured as a system email. Currently, when sending an email from any screen the email field remains blank and the user needs to select the email that they wish to send from. I do not wish to have system emails that are department based...I would like each user to send and receive from their own email address. Any advice would be appreciated.Thanks.

Hello Acumatica Community, I just started training in Acumatica University. I am running a local instance of 2020 R2 with Microsoft SQL Server Express. Everything seems to be working fine, but speeds on the local host are very slow. I have a brand new machine (i7 cpu, 16gb ram, SSD), but loading forms is still very slow. I configured IIS with the default settings outlined in the installation guide. Does anyone have a recommended configuration to optimize speed on a local instance? I do not see any forum discussion related to this topic. Also, is standard SQL Server recommended over SQL Server Express? Thanks!Andrew

I’m working through the setup of System Accounts in anticipation of leveraging the Incoming Mail Processing feature. I’ve encountered a few different issues over the course of setting up ~20 System Email Accounts that are connecting to our MS365/Azure tenant. For the most part, things are working as expected BUT there are a handful of accounts that continue to be problematic… During the automated processing of the emails, some accounts encounter the error “The mail receive has failed. Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.” during the automated processing of the emails. As suggested by other threads within this community, I’ve opted to recreate the System Email Accounts and it’s associated External Application from scratch. We are wanting to upgrade from 2020 R2 to 2021 R1.   We are on premise so we need to move the a snapshot to a test environment.  We have been on acumatica  for just over a year and our snapshot is already to large to import with the default settings.  We have adjusted the webconfig to allow for our snapshot size of 1.5 Gb (we are just over the limit with our snahot being 1.1Gb).We now get the error “Error: The file is not found, or you don't have enough rights to see the file”   I have tried importing from the server directly with the snapshot right in the c drive.  I have tried creating other snapshots, thinking the first one was corrupt.We do have custom fields created and need a way to bring the snapshot over for proper testing.  What would the official way of doing this be?
