Insall Acumatica on Azure App Service?

I know I can install Acumatica on an Azure virtual machine, but can it be installed on Azure App Service? This will be my company’s internal test and demo environment and just looking at options.

Configuration for payment's sync with multicurrency.

We are a Canadian company, and we started taking orders from the US. Our default currency is CDN; We have enabled multicurrency in Acumatica. We are using Shopify for the POS and the online store; the Sales Orders sync just fine; however, the payment part is failed to sync with the error “Inserting 'AR Payment' record raised at least one error. Please review the errors. ARAccountID: Denominated GL Account currency is different from transaction currency.” We are not sure if we have missed configure anything in the Payment entity. Hopefully, someone has successfully configured to sync for multicurrency ie. Shopify and Acumatica. Any suggestions would greatly appreciate!

CreateDefPaymentMethod method removed

We are upgrading from 2019 to 2020R2 and while doing so we noticed one of the methods CreateDefPaymentMethod is no longer available in 2020 R2. Can anyone suggest what is the alternate method that can be used or we just remove the method.

What permissions control the "Corrections" section in payments to allow a user to Void a payment?

We’re trying to adjust permissions for some of our users to allow them to void payments when needed.The administrator role has access to a “Corrections” option with the ability to Void under it. What permission role is that under?Version: 22.207.0013Screen: CST.AR.30.20.00

Using HP y640 thin clients with Windows 10 IoT Enterprise for Thin Clients

I work for a manufacturing company and there are (9) thin clients machines on the factory floor used for the scanning of routers for MaCola. We are in the process of migrating to Acumatica and these thin clients will no longer be in service due to aging out of the system. I want to replace them with the following; HP y640 thin clients with Windows 10 IoT Enterprise for Thin Clients. Is this possible? I don’t want to purchase full blown machines for scanning purpose. Difference Between Setting up Restriction Group vs. Restrict Visibility To

I’ve been considering the difference between setting up restriction groups for Customers and Vendors versus using the Restrict Visibility To field in Acumatica. My thinking is that restriction groups might be more useful when there’s only one company/branch.Personally, when restricting Customers or Vendors, I prefer using the Restrict Visibility To field and specifying the company or branch. This involves creating the necessary access roles and applying them to the relevant company or branch. When a user logs in, they’ll only be able to see the Customers or Vendors associated with their assigned company/branch.In comparison, I find that restriction groups are more complex to set up and maintain. They can be applied to all customers or vendors using the "Apply" button under the customer or vendor class, but it’s more tedious.In your experience, when do you choose one method over the other?

outlook email error - TCP Client Connection timeout

Getting a connection timeout error when trying to test the outlook setup. I’ve gone through all the steps and can login but when I click ‘Test’ I get the following: Its not getting to the server at all, I’ve got port numbers 443 for incoming and 80 for outgoing (confirmed by the client) I tried changing them to 993 and 587 respectively but that yielded the same result. There is no MFA on the account either.Any ideas what I can try to fix this?

Can you open up Acumatica Portal to time entry based on login id?

We use subcontractors for some of our clients. Today, we have them logging into the main Production system of our Acumatica instance for Time Entry and Case management.Is it possible to allow that same login id to access the Acumatica Portal rather than the Production system for accessing the Time Entry and Case management screens?If so, can that be done through configuration or would it require a customization? (I probably would NOT do this if it required a customization).Thank you,Jeff

Directing to configured OIDC provider

Hi,I’ve recently configured our Acumatica instance to provide an additional OIDC authentication provider via an IdP that we control ( Auth0 ). My question: is there a way that I can link directly to this additional authentication provider rather than sending a user to the Acumatica login first?An example scenario: An end-user logs into our own internal platform where Auth0 is the primary authentication provider. Then, we would have a link in our platform where we direct the end-user to Acumatica, but we’re sending them to authenticate against the additional OIDC provider we’ve configured directly rather than sending them to the default Acumatica login page and having them click the button associated with our new OIDC provider. Basically, I’m trying to take out that additional button click.Thanks

Error when Upgrading Version : Invalid scriptType found: InitializePartitions

I just need some guidance regarding the application of the update.Recently, we updated our Sandbox environment to 2024 R1. Since we have a local copy from the local server, I'm also trying to apply the 2024 R1 version to it. This would be helpful as I can replicate and investigate some customizations in the local copy. I was able to download the package from builds.acumatica.com - /builds/ (acumatica-builds.s3.amazonaws.com). However, I encountered an error when installing the update: 'Invalid scriptType found: InitializePartitions'.

Unable to write data to the transport connection, send Email From MYOB Advanced

Hi everyone,Recently, our company started using MYOB Advanced, and we want to send invoices directly from our Gmail account through MYOB Website. However, every time we send an invoice, we need to manually:Log in to the Client ID via an external application. Log in to the "Email Account ID" in the system email accounts, as shown in the screenshot below. I've also included the Gmail settings for your reference. More information:The Google workspace is connected to MYOB Acumatica as an external application. The Oth2 Authentication is used. The system requires to log into the Google account several times a day unless process the error below. 'Unable to write data to the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.' Could someone please assist in linking MYOB with Gmail so that we don’t need to manually log in every day? Thank you!

Automatically Open Cases that are repeated periodically

Hi ALL,We have Cases that are repeated periodically every 3 months, 6 months, etc., such as air conditioner maintenance, employee computer cleaning, car maintenance, etc.Take air conditioner maintenance as a specific example. We created a Case called "Air conditioner maintenance" and we closed this Case when it was completed. The air conditioner maintenance work will be repeated after another 6 months. How can the closed "Air conditioner maintenance" Case automatically "Open" again after another 6 months or How can the system automatically create a new Case "air conditioner maintenance" after 6 months? Report Showing a Request for a Sign-in Code

We have 2 factor authentication for unknown devices enabled for all users including Admin. We have set the admin email address to an internal email. This was set up over a year ago. Today, we received an email for a sign-in code for the admin account. We don’t know who would have requested it. Is there a report that would help me investigate? The person trying to login would not have received the sign in code email, so Access History would not show an entry.

MFA for Mobile App

Hi all, Trying to figure out if I am doing something wrong for the MFA.When activating and enabling MFA it generates the codes as needed and I can also utilize the Acumatica for help with it, yet when I want to login to the Mobile App, I either do not get prompted to enter a Code.The Setting for MFA is set to Required so it should prompt for a known device as well.Is this something that is not available for Mobile App Users?If so, this is a huge Security Gap it seems like. I just feel like I am missing something in terms of Set-up here.
