Can Numbering Sequence be changed temporarily?

We had a user accidentally delete a custom object that uses automated number sequencing. I am able to restore the object from a copy from a different tenant. (<NEW>, then copy and paste). However, Acumatica generates a new ID for the object. Other objects reference this one based on the ID.Can I temporarily turn on Manual Numbering, restore the object, and use the old ID? If I do, does this operation impact anything outside of what I am attempting?

IIS deployment method retail element

I am attempting to harden the IIS server for Acumatica. I’m following the CIS recommendation for this and similar instructions can be found here:https://www.tenable.com/audits/items/CIS_v1.8_MS_IIS_7_Level_1.audit:ecdf68afefe076d64ba1c06ce00fd629Upon doing this, I run into a problem within Acumatica, which is easily repeatable from the Sales Order screen. All records can be viewed with no problem, but going one layer deeper by attempting to open a specific sales order will result in a pop up error stating that “There was an error in the callback”. This occurs after editing the 64-bit version of the machine.config file.Doing some general searching on this, I cannot find anything that states that attempting to set this element to true will cause issues for Acumatica. Setting it to the default value of false, since the element does not actually exist to begin with, does not cause any issue.

How to use a GI to mass update Supervisor in Employees screen

This should be very easy to do, but I cannot find an easy solution. I have 26 employees who now report to a different supervisor. Is there not a way to simply change all 26 employees “SupervisorID” at one time?Do I have to write a GI with Mass Update to do this? That seems like a major oversight in very simple administration if that is how I have to do that.Thank you,

Automation setup for intercompany sales

Any ideas on how to achieve this? The situation: We have two companies that are running from the same premises with the same staff covering both sides f the company. One of the companies is a supply company and the other is a service providing company .Most of the materials bought by the service company comes from the supply company (however not all). This is resulting in intercompany transactions back and forth. Our idea is to have one warehouse(in the system and in real life) for both companies. This will result in an Amount ‘Due to’ and ‘Due from’ for each transaction between the two companies( we have this configuration working and set up already). However we do not have the capability to recognize a Sale, COGS, the Profits for the intercompany sale when stock from the supply company is sold by the service company directly from the supply companies warehouse in Acumatica. Essentially we would like to set up that all goods purchased by either company are stored in 1 warehouse( in th

Document Nbr Narrower Search in 23R1

We just upgraded to 23R1 and discovered that the document nbr search (within the document screen) is now searching other fields besides the document number. Is there a way to restrict this to only search document numbers and not customer IDs, as shown below? I search for SO # 1224 and get 1132 in the dropdown. 1132 is an SO# that has a CUSTOMER ID of C1224. My users don’t want to find a customer number in this particular search box. This same dynamic occurs in the Production Order Maintenance screen and probably other screens as well.

OpenID in Multi-company setup

Hello all,A probing question first:Does anyone use OpenID Authentication with a multi-company setup?The real question:How can I use OpenID Authentication in a multi-company setup AND NOT have to fully log out from a company to switch to a different one?My current status is I have OpenID Authentication working in multiple companies, BUT to switch company one needs to fully log out and make a new copmpany selection on the Login Screen. Configuration for payment's sync with multicurrency.

We are a Canadian company, and we started taking orders from the US. Our default currency is CDN; We have enabled multicurrency in Acumatica. We are using Shopify for the POS and the online store; the Sales Orders sync just fine; however, the payment part is failed to sync with the error “Inserting 'AR Payment' record raised at least one error. Please review the errors. ARAccountID: Denominated GL Account currency is different from transaction currency.” We are not sure if we have missed configure anything in the Payment entity. Hopefully, someone has successfully configured to sync for multicurrency ie. Shopify and Acumatica. Any suggestions would greatly appreciate!

We are upgrading from 2019 to 2020R2 and while doing so we noticed one of the methods CreateDefPaymentMethod is no longer available in 2020 R2. Can anyone suggest what is the alternate method that can be used or we just remove the method.

AR - Currency Restriction on Customer account

I would like to force AR Customer accounts to only transact in the currency for which they are set up. I.E. i have set up USD accounts for some customers and only want them to be invoiced and receipted in USD. If the customer wants to transact in another currency, we set up a separate account for them and they need to be restricted to only transact in that currency. I know that what i am asking for defeats the object of multi currency accounting, but we operate in a strange economy where hyper inflation is a common thing and allowing someone to pay off an invoice raised in local currency, with another currency, opens a risk of arbitrage from our staff which we want to remove. Thanks in advance for any advice offered.

Device Hub printing 2 copies of label

Customer is reporting that when printing carrier labels from Easy Post to Device Hub there are 2 copies of the same label printed - there is only one job created - the printer is configured to print 1 copy - is has been confirmed the zpl label file only contains only one label - the printer has been reset What could cause this issue? Approach to USMCA Customs Form

Hi All, We have a customer needing a USMCA Form out of Acumatica. I know there is the Canadian Localization but this is really not applicable to them for being based in the US and just exporting on a somewhat regular basis to Mexico and Canada. Does anyone have a good approach to the USMCA Form or is aware of any native Add-ons that would solve this? Thank you!

Using HP y640 thin clients with Windows 10 IoT Enterprise for Thin Clients

I work for a manufacturing company and there are (9) thin clients machines on the factory floor used for the scanning of routers for MaCola. We are in the process of migrating to Acumatica and these thin clients will no longer be in service due to aging out of the system. I want to replace them with the following; HP y640 thin clients with Windows 10 IoT Enterprise for Thin Clients. Is this possible? I don’t want to purchase full blown machines for scanning purpose. outlook email error - TCP Client Connection timeout

Getting a connection timeout error when trying to test the outlook setup. I’ve gone through all the steps and can login but when I click ‘Test’ I get the following: Its not getting to the server at all, I’ve got port numbers 443 for incoming and 80 for outgoing (confirmed by the client) I tried changing them to 993 and 587 respectively but that yielded the same result. There is no MFA on the account either.Any ideas what I can try to fix this?

Can you open up Acumatica Portal to time entry based on login id?

We use subcontractors for some of our clients. Today, we have them logging into the main Production system of our Acumatica instance for Time Entry and Case management.Is it possible to allow that same login id to access the Acumatica Portal rather than the Production system for accessing the Time Entry and Case management screens?If so, can that be done through configuration or would it require a customization? Hi ALL,We have Cases that are repeated periodically every 3 months, 6 months, etc., such as air conditioner maintenance, employee computer cleaning, car maintenance, etc.Take air conditioner maintenance as a specific example. We created a Case called "Air conditioner maintenance" and we closed this Case when it was completed. The air conditioner maintenance work will be repeated after another 6 months. How can the closed "Air conditioner maintenance" Case automatically "Open" again after another 6 months or How can the system automatically create a new Case "air conditioner maintenance" after 6 months?
