Restrict access scenario: Give a user access to specific branch should only view inventory quantity from other branches
Hi!I have a specific scenario in MultiCompany/Branch environment related to access rights.Our customer has 3 different stores and each store has a warehouse related. A user of one store should only have access to warehouse inventory from another store but it should not be able to work in other branch than the one that has been assigned. I dont see a feature that could help me with this (access roles, restriction groups, restrict visibility). Does anyone have a configuration like this? Thanks.
I have been roped in to helping configure a current cloud install of Acumatica, and frankly, I’m out of my depth. I have a technical background, but have not used or configured any similar software.I thought that a good approach would be to start with a local installation on my Windows 10 Machine. I use it for video editing, so it’s quite well equipped. That would allow me to play with the company's data set safely in a sandbox. It would also allow me to work my way through Acumatica training guides (A150 looks like a good one to start with).My first question concerns which version of Acumatica to install. The company is using 2021 R2 (Build 21.210.0030), and the A150 lesson seems to need 2022 R1. Do I need to install both versions (one to run A150 lessons, and one to play with the company’s data set)?I decided to start with the download of ERP 2021 R2 Update 4 from the Acumatica site, but it seems to be an earlier version (21.204.0055) than the one we’re running in the cloud. Hi All,We have problem in accessing the acumatica modules, when we connect using the “Server name: acumatica.xxx.com” and get the below error in screenshot. If we connect using IP address and localhost, then no issues, we can able to access all the modules in acumatica. Already we checked our DNS configuration, everything looks good. I have created numerous service order types for all of my customers but now I would like to delete of them for each customer I have. It would take too long to delete them one by one. How do we delete Service Order Types tied to a customer in one shot? Could it be done via an import scenario? Also, how do I add more than one service order type to a customer in one shot using an import scenario? I know how to add one type to all customers but how do you add 3 or 4 types to all customers at the same time? How do I adjust my import scenario for this?
How can I determine why I get 'You have insufficient rights to access the object (Cst_CRTaskMaint)' when trying to create a new task on the tasks screen.
We are running into problems with creating a new task on the Tasks screen under Time & Expenses.From looking at the effective rights of the user in Access rights by user the user shows as having delete permission on the tasks screen. They can get to the screen and even click to add a task when an error message pops up saying ‘You have insufficient rights to access the object (Cst_CRTaskMaint).’How can I determine why this is failing? Does this depend on the user being granted access to another screen first? Has anyone else run into this issue?Thanks for any help,Phil

Is there any possibility to have one instance (one URL) that has two different tenants which have separate databases.Requirements include,1) Ability of having different databases for different tenants2) We have created one sandbox with two tenants. In this license we can have 100 concurrent users. We need to create an additional instance in this same sandbox environment for development work.Attached below is the structure of the configured sandbox, If there are any workarounds to this issue, or if you could give an explanation on how data is kept separate and identified in two different tenants that would be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone have an efficient way to grant a user view only access to the entire database?Thinking of an external auditor or a C-Level client, who wants to be able to poke around, but should not be able to create/modify/delete anything.Outside of creating a role and then clicking on every single form and saying view only.Hoping someone has come up with something more efficient!Thank you!
After login, the user only gets a spinning wheel and cannot access any screens to use the system.This issue was reported also for Google Chrome, version 76/77, and to proceed to work I had to set Disabled on Enable lazy frame loading (chrome://flags/). But this flag does not exist on the new version of Google Chrome.I mention that this issue I found on the Acumatica version 17.212.0020.
I need to know how to give someone rights/access to delete uploaded files.For example, we upload item drawings to the item’s BOM and when we have a new/revised drawing, we want to delete the old drawing and upload the new drawing.Where do I go to give someone permission to delete the file attachment???
Hello Community,In Synchronization tab of the File Maintenance screen, we find the field SSH Authentication Key when using SFTP.This field only allows to selecting a key from a list of existing keys. The list is currently empty.Does anyone what form to use to add an authentication key to this list please? Many thanksEudes
Hi All, @Tim Rodman , I have setup a Multistep PO Approval where I cant get the second step to work. The first step is for two users to approve where I have used the “Collect All Approvals….” (Rule Actions\On Approval which works fine). If the PO is < $15,000 then it need not go further and can be approved.The second Step is where I am having the issue. I have read the documentation and applied the rules but am still having issues. Please see attached for setup.Any help appreciated.Cheers,Laura

DeviceHub - complete instructions for install and configuration, and using DeviceHub for FedEx labels
I am trying to help a customer with trying to get DeviceHub setup and eventually to get FedEx labels to print via DeviceHub.There are bits of information scattered in the community and on other Acumatica focused sites on the web. Acumatica help documentation also is difficult to find instructions for DeviceHub installation and configuration.Does anyone have a top-to-bottom documentation on at least the DeviceHub setup and usage? Can anyone provide a “best practices” for optimizing IIS in production? We’ve experienced the following:IIS seems to need to “cold start” periodically. Takes about 30 seconds.Occasionally, during the day, while working with the system, it will “pause” for 20-30 seconds.The server CPU and memory are at less than 20% usage, as is the DB, so we have lots of horsepower.The server has a 10GB internet connection, and the client is on a 1 GB fibre.My thought is that this is an IIS configuration issue.
A specific user has full rights to go to a specific dashboard without issue, but when setting the dashboard (or a different dashboard) as user Home Page, upon login it just goes to generic Welcome to Acumatica page. The user has full Granted rights to these dashboards and can see the dashboards just fine when choosing them from the menus.
I cannot find anywhere how to set the default shipping carrier that is chosen on the Sales Order screen under the Shipping Settings tab under ‘Ship Via’ and also on the Shipment screen at the same place.We have implemented the FedEx carrier plugin, but not the UPS one. UPS Ground is on the Ship Via Codes, but there is no place to select the default. We have 6 FedEx Ship via Codes, from the plugin, and one UPS and UPS is defaulting on every document. Thanks, and this would be a good thing to include in the documentation on setting up carriers.
