Hi Everyone, I am adding a new employee in acumatica. After I saved the document, the system generate a new ref nbr.but, when I go back in the Employees Generic Inquiry. I didn't see any details for Employee E00424. Is there any set up I need to reflect the employee set up? Thank you !!!
An employee recently departed from our company. I need to know what unexpected / unintended consequences of disabling the departed employee as an Acumatica user. If the departed employee were to return can we “re-enable” him and he would have all of his histories, notes, set up? Can other employees access all of the departed employees work, notes, histories? Are we better off leaving the departed employee active and just change his Acumatica password?
Hello,Before I go down this path, I wanted to know if it would be a viable solution to add a button in an email to approve or reject a document based on selecting the link. I have been able to get an elementary version of this to work through sending certain text in an email for intake but the client wants to get more sophisticated with an actual actionable button.I believe this would be possible with some variation of the portal- they click the link, brings them to the portal, they can approve- but not all customers will have an access. So ultimately I need to be able to get a response back without the need to authenticate.Any input or experience on this topic would be greatly appreciated!

I have installed Acumatica on dozens of laptops running Windows 10 without any issues. I’ve tried installing it on Windows 12 Server and Windows 19 Server and whilst it installs I cannot login to the site.I’ve tried it with the database on the same server or a different server, running the site on port 80 or 443 using different browsers, but everything ends up generating the same error.After entering the default username and password (admin, setup), press enter, after a few minutes it errors:
We are in the process of implementing Acumatica.Our workflow requires us, in many cases, to do a site-check for measurements etc. before we can generate a quote.We would like to keep things simple for our field technicians so that all they need to deal with in the app is the appointments section.The problem is that when an appointment is created from an opportunity, a service order is created automatically, which basically shifts the processes a step forward before a quote was created. Once the quote is created in the opportunity level (post measurement appointment), the quote details will not copy to the service order (since it is already open).In our case, if we use opportunities then we’re required to go back and fourth between services orders and opportunities, coping and pasting information from quotes to create invoices, and extend all companies to customers (while they might not be in the end).How can Acumatica be used correctly in this scenario without creating any awkward work
Has anyone run into the following: We have configured MS Exchange with Modern Azure Authentication - that’s working fine except for emails that are triggered via a business event or an automation schedule. These are triggered using the admin user and without an Owner attached: This was fine when using Standard email accounts, but when we specify the account to send from on the Notification template, we get this warning - and true enough, the email generates but is never picked up in the Synching of Exchange and actually sent. It’s status stays as Pending Processing. I have tried using an assingment map to assign an owner, but the owner field is non-editable at the time the email is generated so it never updates. I have also tried Linking it to an employee/contact/Entity - but this doesn’t seem to work either? Any ideas?
Hello,I have a report that’s emailed out weekly. Everything is working fine with this report but there’s never any record of it in the All Emails page. I have to resort to Office 365 Message Trace to confirm that the email was actually sent. Is there a way to enable logging of such emails so they are viewable in All Emails?Thanks!
We have our production/testing tenant on the same instance, and we are wanting to enable project to test time tracking (internal projects) and also expense management.Would there be any issue with enabling in the TESTING tenant? Will enabling in one tenant (Testing) affect our Production Tenant since it is in the same instance? We don’t want to cause any issues with our sales team as we are configuring it and testing it.Or would it be best to do in stand-alone environment like another “Test” instance?Also, I haven’t come across any videos or training/configuration of internal projects, if you know any please let me know. We will probably do billing against projects later but initially we will be using for tracking internal projects and time for employees on those projects. Thanks!
Hello,Looking to initiate approval maps for AP and PO’s under certain conditions.Documentation indicates that a notification will be sent, but I don’t see how I link the notification template to the approval rule? Do I set up a notification template like this then Acumatica sends an email every time any document is created that needs approval?
After upgrade to 2022 R1, get error that Employee is not a user when trying to create a timecard. Is the requirement not that we have to create an user for all Employees?
After our upgrade to A2022 R1, users are cannot create a Timecard for employees that are not setup as users. We have the delegate assigned. Error:Error: An error occurred during processing of the field Employee value 000001562 EP Error: The employee record is not associated with a user.IF this is the requirement, then this seems will cause major business process changes to enter time for employees associated to projects that are not users.

When we attach a PDF to a record (i.e. invoice, sales order, whatever) it shows in the file browser as a .pdf file extension.When you open the file for viewing, Acumatica seems to be serving it as an .ashx. Does anyone know if there is a way to get Acumatica to serve the PDF to us? ASHX does not work well at all on Mac OS
We have a web-hosted Acumatica instance (2021 R2).We use Tasks quite a bit, and we frequently set due dates and although we check the “Reminder” box and set a date, nothing happens. There’s no pop-up, no email, nothing. Essentially, the “Reminder” box is useless to us right now. Apart from setting up my own Business Event that will email people when triggered, I don’t understand how I can get the “Reminder” box to do anything? I found instructions to “Turn on Reminders” https://biofermenergy.acumatica.com/(W(1))/Help?CompanyID=BIOFerm+Energy&ScreenId=ShowWiki&pageid=667e2765-09c0-4800-a02d-0e225b8203e1, but these instructions seem to only work with locally-hosted setups of the ERP (hence the topic being underneath the tree of System Administration/Maintaining Acumatica ERP Locally). I could not find equivalent setup instructions for web-hosted ERP… Can anyone help?
I’m struggling to add a new currency field to my SOLine DAC. ErrorsWhen setting the value on any of the SOLines, if the value is >=100, then I get this error.CustomizationHere’s how I added the custom fields: I created two fields, a UsrSalesRepUnitCost and a UsrCurySalesRepUnitCost, with the following attributes in each. The “Database Scripts” section in the customization project window indicates the both of the custom fields are using the `DECIMAL(8, 4)` datatype, which I would assume would allow values as high as 9999.9999. QuestionsWhy am I getting an error indicating that the value 150.0000 is too large? Have I properly configured the two custom fields to accurately work for representing currency? I couldn’t find any resources in the documentation about creating custom currency fields.
I have a client using Acumatica MFA with the option to only require a code on new or unknown devices only. It seems that Acumatica is requesting the code nearly every time even though they are logging in using the same computer.Has anyone experienced this of have any suggestions?We have tried changing browser settings to allow all cookies but still no luck.
